Program Details

We are a community-based rural tourism association from the town of Maras that shares knowledge and develops creative projects for the benefit of the entire community.
At the Cultural House we promote community cinema: we shoot and screen local stories that reflect our daily life, collective memory, and landscapes. Each film enables young people and adults to participate actively, learn new skills and preserve our cultural identity.
This space also functions as a cultural exchange hub, where we receive and share knowledge with visitors and guests, weaving bridges between our community and the world.
The volunteer participates in daily activities, which may include maintenance, gardening, social media, design and organization of community tourism workshops, or cinema, depending on the person’s profile and the projects in progress.
The house is near the Huaypo lagoon, the Salineras, and the Moray and Cheqoq archaeological complexes, and we have bicycles available for volunteers to use in their free time.

Activities & Shift

Activities and schedules are defined in advance with the volunteer.
The baseline is 4 hours per day and one day off per week.

Rules

Volunteers commit to respecting the community’s worldview, as well as the rules of coexistence and safety.
Upon entering, they must leave a copy of their identity document, sign an inventory, and commit in writing to respecting the agreed dates and rules of coexistence.
