The Experience
Hi! Although some hostels in San Francisco are still closed, we are still open with the help of amazing volunteers! The hostel is a bit slower than usual so the vibe is quieter than it usually is. However, you'll still meet some adventurous travelers. We provide a bunk in a dorm room, free wifi, basic breakfast, basic dinner ingredients, and lots of fun in return for only 25 hours a week of work!

This was my first volunteer experience, and I couldn't be happier! I arrived at the hostel with no big expectations, but I was completely surprised. The environment is amazing, it has a great atmosphere, both the staff and the guests are wonderful people, always willing to help and welcome, it's like having a home away from home. I am extremely grateful for everything I experienced during my time at the hostel. A special thanks to Asad, who was the best possible person, always very helpful, understanding, kind, and very transparent about tasks and schedules. I definitely recommend

During my recent hostel work-stay at the hostel, I gained invaluable firsthand experience in the hospitality industry and honed my customer service skills. Through liaising with guests, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, and managing daily operations, I developed a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in running a successful hostel. Plus, I was able to cultivate meaningful relationships with travelers from diverse backgrounds, enhancing my cultural awareness.

I was 2 months volunteering at the hostel, I was very pleased to be able to meet and share with both the volunteers and the guests who stayed there, they have several activities during the week and it is well located, about the manager I was not very satisfied with his poor communication with the volunteers but anyway everything is ok

The hostel has an amazing staff, fellow volunteers, and travelers. While this was just my first work exchange, it was life changing for the best. I had the pleasure of meeting so many people, and having such an amazing time. I learned more about myself, my fellow humans, and San Francisco. Hopefully someday I will be able to visit again!
