This was a stay with high ups and downs. I'm a vegetarian and I found that this was something that wasn't able to be be respected and was constantly joked about, although they didn't try to get me to eat meat, I felt like I was always having to defend my moral beliefs.

The work was approx 45m of feeding animals morning and night.

To be able to trek with mules through the Sierra Nevada was an incredible experience and I'm extremely grateful for that.

First of all, Antonio is a very gentle, open-hearted and welcoming man and I want to take the opportunity to thank him once again for everything he did to help me during my stay! The way that he interacts with his animals and understands his surroundings is absolutely impressive and inspiring. I'd have two pieces of adivice though, especially to English travellers: - Do not underestimate the Spanish needed! - While Antonio takes one volunteer usually, it can happen that other stay longer or anything else happens that leads to multiple people there, which can change your experience.

I loved sharing these days with Antonio, it was a great experience! He made me part of his life, his home, and his work; his home is beautiful and so are the animals. Antonio is a very cheerful person who makes you feel at home and teaches you a lot about rural life. I 100% recommend Antonio to live your experience, and thank you very much for everything!
