Program Details

This is not a standard program, not a school with fixed schedules, and not a work exchange.
It is an experiment in community living based on permaculture principles.

There are no “5 hours of work” followed by free time for tours, scooters and attractions.
That kind of experience exists — and we offer it in our tourist packages.
This is something else.

Here, you live together.
You observe, participate and contribute when needed.
Sometimes there is work, sometimes rest, sometimes sharing.
The value is in presence, not productivity.

Reduction is central: less consumption, fewer distractions, less need to “do something”.
More awareness, connection and simplicity.

Individual needs, when placed above the needs of the community, disrupt harmony and continuity.

If you are looking for a cheap base for tourism, this is not the right program.
Your role here is also to help us educate the tourists we receive.

If your intention is to turn this place into something like a hotel, it is not compatible with what we are building.

If you are ready to let go of certain habits, observe deeply and participate without fixed expectations, then this may be the right place for you.

Activities & Shift

We do not always have programs or schedules.

Days start early: cleaning shared spaces, working in the garden, harvesting, watering, supporting ongoing tasks.
Activities may include bamboo building, working with clay and local materials, wood, crafts, coconut oil production, jams and preserves, as well as hosting guests.

You don’t choose activities based on personal preference: insisting on specific tasks creates imbalance.
Here you observe and take part in what is needed.

Your contribution supports the development of sustainable projects.
This is not a service: you are not a waiting customer, but an active part of the village.

Rest is important and work is not mandatory. See “Work” on our website, but presence and participation matter.

There are also spontaneous moments: river time, social games, evenings by the fire.
Moments are created together.

Those who arrive with rigid expectations same time feel disappointed.
The village already offers a lot. The real question is not what do you expect: but what do you bring?

Rules

Suitable for those who wish to meet people from around the world, but above all for those ready to live simply, in nature, with real presence.

Each person’s talent is welcome, but roles are not chosen: they emerge from needs, observation, and the ability to give meaning to actions and interactions.

This is not for those seeking free time, fixed working hours or space for tourism.
Resilience and adaptation are part of permaculture: comfort, routine and rigid expectations are not compatible.

Participation happens without expectations, with a spirit of contribution and openness.
If you are looking for something else, there are more suitable experiences.
