Live with a local family in the heart of Valencia
The experience
We are a curious and open-minded Valencia family, a Mediterranean city with pleasant weather and a lot of cultural life. We live in Ruzafa, a dynamic and bohemian neighborhood, near Parque Central.
We are looking for someone to help us with daily household tasks and practice English with our children (12 and 9 years old), in a natural and fun way. In return, we offer an immersion experience in the local culture and a welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to meeting you!

Program Details
The stay is at our home, where the volunteer will live with us. They will have a private room and a key to enter and leave with autonomy. They will be free to use the common facilities, including the kitchen and the bathroom.
🔹 Volunteer schedule: 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day, from 14:30 to 19:30.
🔹 Working style: we prefer clear tasks, agreed at the start of the week and carried out autonomously.
🔹 Shifts: Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day
🔹 Days off: Saturday and Sunday
🔹 Flexibility: this is the baseline proposal, but we are open to adapting it to the volunteer's needs/plans.
Important (family situation): we now operate with a nest home. The children always live in the family home and the adults take turns: week on, week off; each week one of the two is with them.
That means you will live with one of the two (depending on the week) and there may be occasional moments of 'shift change' when both are present.
Activities & Shift
📌 Activities and shifts (25h per week)
Indicative base schedule:
14:30 to 19:00 Domestic chores, childcare and English lessons
19:00 to 19:30 Prepare dinner
19:30 Family dinner
📌 Flexibility: this is the base scheme, but there may be occasional adjustments of tasks and schedules depending on the week and who is at home (nest house). We are organized, communication is fluent and you will always have someone available to coordinate and resolve questions.
Rules
Smoking inside the house is not allowed.
Please give advance notice if you will not be home for any meal.
At mealtime, it is possible that we are not at home. In that case, the volunteer can cook their own meal.
