Life in surfing is incredible, it's a lot of work but the crew is like family, I felt welcomed from day one. Renan and Isis are laid-back and have good energy.

Awesome crew! Moment 1 Brotherhood.
So grateful! 🙏
I personally felt confident, well received and included with everyone.
The proposal is an invitation to a healthy lifestyle, simple yet very rich.
A variety of activities to enjoy and learn.
Lots of experience to make the most of, since 5am the crew is already in the sea!!
I met people from several countries, it's really cool!
Renan is a really nice guy.
I recommend visiting the hostel!

I am grateful to Renan for my first opportunity as a volunteer; it was a fair exchange, everything that was agreed upon was fulfilled.

I have nothing to complain about; I had great experiences and Greenhouse is a beautiful place, well-ventilated and surrounded by vegetation, which creates a very light atmosphere.

Anyway, just know that volunteering is not a vacation camp and that you need to fulfill everything required by the host.

Thanks, Renan, for the flexibility in adjusting my stay, which allowed me to know the city even more and live the local culture. Someday I’ll be back, God bless everyone, a big hug!

The place is extremely dirty and full of debris, mattresses and moldy sheets, a very dangerous and precarious electrical installation, and the tent and our things got wet in a light rain. The job is heavy; if you're a woman, it will be heavy cleaning, without gloves, not even a bucket, nor proper products, and tasks like picking up the dog's poop or risking your life climbing mattresses in the attic with a precarious 5-meter ladder. The owner had talked about rules such as the prohibition of loud music and alcohol consumption, but these are everyday practices. By the way, they imposed a No-show for having left earlier than agreed.

Luana, we had a clear misalignment of expectations. You were seeking comfort, but did not show willingness to contribute to basic tasks such as cleaning, including the bathroom, which is part of the routine of any volunteering. You wanted affection from our pet, but you did not want to take on responsibilities such as taking care or cleaning. You showed interest in activities such as surfing and spearfishing, which require courage, but you avoided simple day-to-day tasks. Volunteering is a two-way street: those who help are helped.

My experience was very bad. What is offered in the listing does not match reality at all.
The accommodation conditions were unacceptable: they offered a tent with moisture and mold, and damp mattresses. The general hygiene of the place was very deficient.
I went for gardening, bioconstruction, and surfing, and ended up doing only heavy cleaning.
I do not recommend this experience. There is a lack of transparency, basic hygiene conditions, and respectful treatment toward the volunteers.

Unfortunately, what you were looking for wasn't volunteering, but a hotel service. We value people with a down-to-earth spirit, willing to serve and collaborate, which we did not see in your attitude. There was no commitment, nor interaction with guests, and there were even behind-the-back remarks, breaking the trust of the environment. The house was clean upon your arrival, a result of the work of the team that welcomed you well. Volunteering is about serving before wanting to receive — and that did not happen.

Saquarema is beautiful and the volunteers made the stay very pleasant. However, the place needs improvements: the camping area is neglected (moldy mattresses and tents that flood). There is a lack of stability in the accommodation and a safe place for luggage. We worked overtime for surf classes that did not take place and the payment is still pending. The power and internet fail frequently. The hostel runs thanks to the volunteers, but that support deserves more recognition. With better hygiene and organization, the potential is enormous, but today the structure is not up to the effort delivered.

We received your comment with surprise and sadness.
During the stay, we did everything to ensure you had a good experience. We offer surf, diving, and buggy ride lessons and share genuine moments. At no point during the volunteering did you demonstrate this level of dissatisfaction. On rainy days, when the campsite was affected, we put you in a double bed for greater comfort. Before that, we also offered a private room with air conditioning.

Saquarema is a beautiful place; the best part of our visit was meeting and getting to know other volunteers, they really made us feel part of saqua
Greenhouse needs to improve its organization and infrastructure.
The camping area is neglected, with damp clothes and mattresses.
The tents don't withstand the rain and our things got wet several times
We had power outages and Wi-Fi
The place operates only thanks to its volunteers: take care of them and you will see that it can be a pleasant and reciprocal experience. Until then, those who work hard receive mediocre accommodation :(

I loved the time I spent at GreenHouse. The vibe among the people is always positive, everyone is very friendly and willing to help. The atmosphere is so good that working like this feels easy. Even with the house full due to the high season, everything flowed smoothly. Saquarema is amazing, and Green is really a house in the middle of greenery, a very cozy space.

The experience at Green made me look at the sea with more respect and admiration. I really got to experience the Saquarema surfing experience. Renan was a great host. My boyfriend and I experienced most of the experiences he offers to guests, and that was great for both sides: for us to participate and to create content for the hostel's social media. I helped with videos of the experiences and surf lessons, and the ads; and my boyfriend helped with drone footage and graphic materials. We stayed in the bamboo chalet, which was a differentiating factor for our well-being. I recommend.

My experience at Green House was amazing. Renan is a person who is always willing to help; communication with him is always clear and we had no difficulty carrying out our tasks, which were focused on social media. We stayed in Vila Green, which is a small village with bamboo chalets, the most beautiful thing. The house as a whole is organized and clean, the other volunteers are always willing to help and contribute. One cool thing is that Renan will take you and teach you how to surf. I would recommend it!
