My experience at Melissas stable was very beautiful! I got to ride almost everyday through the beautiful Tuscan landscapes and met some incredible people. Melissa and everyone you'll get to meet are very very kind, always flexible and they definitely try to make your experience as unique as possible! While I was there i got to Watch the palio the Siena and was able to immer se in the local Culture through food, people, the nature and the horses!! Definitely recommend 🥰

Once again I had such a great experience with Melissa and her horses! The work is really easy if you're used to working with horses, and to me is really doesn't feel like work at all!! I would recommend staying with Melissa to everyone! She and her family are just such loving people and you'll feel truely welcome wherever you are. The location is the horses is also great I had lots of fun at the poloclub. I found new friends and a second home in Italy.🫶🏻

I absolutely adored my time at the poloclub! Melissa was a great host and she took us to local events where we could enjoy the Italian culture. She's was always very flexible and willing to help were needed. The horses she has are incredibly sweet and very used to each other which made the job easier.

I stayed 5 weeks at the farm, it was an amazing experience !! Everyone is super nice and welcoming I loved working with the horses and the clients, helping with the cooking class, making videos... and discovering Toscany I'm already missing the dogs and the horses, specially Kiki :) I made friends for life, Thanks again for those adventures and laughs, hope I can come back soon

I had the best time at Melissa’s. The place is really beautiful, and everyone makes you feel welcome with so much warmth and kindness. I met some truly great people. I really enjoyed living with the horses and spending every day outside. Melissa and Luca are always there to listen and your are never left alone. I felt completely comfortable there and would do it all again without hesitation. The other volunteers are also very kind, and we had a lot of fun together.

I got emotional when saying goodbye which is a testament to the type of host Melissa is. My time was nothing short of incredible. The rides I got to go on were breathtaking. The work varied everyday which I LOVED. Some days there was more work than others. I loved the freedom and trust she gave me with the horses. Melissa is an amazing cook, as is her boyfriend Luca! They made me feel so at home. We ate together most meals, which I appreciated since I didn’t know much about cooking… untill now because Melissa taught me so much about cooking. I loved it so much I will be back <3

My experience at VAS the farm was amazing. Melissa, Loris, and everyone else are so warm and welcoming. The food was great, the scenery is breathtaking, and I learned so much about handling and riding horses. The trail rides are wonderful and the horses are super well-behaved. Just keep in mind that you and a volunteer partner take on a lot of responsibility for guest safety, especially with beginners and most with bigger group sizes. I think more volunteers for larger group sizes would significantly help this situation. Still, it's a great place and I loved my time there! missing the horses
