My time spent at the shelter was such a wonderful, positive, adventurous experience. Truly a soul filling & rewarding adventure I will never forget. Daniel was a great guide with sharing of joy, patience, knowledge about the animals, the plants, and most of all his passion about the efforts contributed to this place. The work was hot & sweaty yet equally fun & rewarding—meeting all the loving, funny animals, the excitable kiddos at the school and other volunteers, we meshed so well together! I will definitely consider returning and volunteering again to further contribute. 🙏🏻🦋

Volunteering at Amazonas was amazing and so rewarding! You are immediately welcomed into Danny’s home and community, volunteering in different communities and conservations, and learning so much along the way about the plants, animals and people! Danny is a gem, very communicative and fun to be around, sharing so much knowledge and fun facts! As well as being surrounded by beautiful views constantly, I would 100% recommend to anyone interested!

Amazon was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. I've made so many amazing memories with the people I met here and the hosts made me feel comfortably at home. I've gone on many other volunteer trips around the world but this one stands out. We did something new everyday. Whether it was about the native tribes, the animals, or the jungle, I learned so much. I got to see the culture and get involved in issues about the Amazon that I didn't even know existed before. 1000/10 would recommend this trip!!

I absolutely loved my 10 days here!🤭 I came to help the local community and animals, and got to learn so much more about the plants, animals, tribes and jungle. We also got really involved with the locals, even playing soccer together! There are so many different projects, so every day is something new. Danny, the contact person, was absolutely amazing too! 100% worth it!!!!!

This program is definitely an awesome and rewarding experience! Danny and all other people in his team are super nice and friendly, and really passionate about the project. Each day Danny takes us to exploring different places, doing different tasks, some of them are challenging but are super fun! I got to interact and work with different kinds of animals and learn about the conservation and indigenous culture in the Amazon area. and did a lot of meaningful and challenging things like the deep jungle excursion that I never imagined that I would do.

volunteering with amazonas was truly one of the best experiences of my life. the jungle was magical and seeing all the beautiful animals and getting to know them and their personalities was very special - i will always remember tatiana, manu, loca, selva, wilson, and so many more. the work was also very rewarding knowing i was helping the animals or the locals depending on the task. danny was a great host and taught us a lot about the jungle, conservation, and local cultures. please message me if you have questions, i would love to talk about my experience!

At the shelter I felt as though I sat with the forest and its people as opposed to just looking at them through glass. It was not a demonstration of a culture and space that many people think belongs in the past, but rather a hand reaching out and leading you into a community that shows you a different present and future. I will forever be changed by the way that being in the forest and with the original jungle cultures people so effortlessly commanded my mind and heart to be present. To be invited and welcomed into this space is a precious gift, for which I am so incredibly grateful.

I have enjoyed my time so much at amazonas and wish I could have stayed longer! Every day has been magical and I have learnt so much which I am grateful to know and share. Some of my favourite parts have been getting to know about the animals and learning their stories and personalities, seeing hummingbirds, walking in the deep jungle and seeing so many plant species and learning about the importance of conservation. Danny have been so welcoming and caring throughout the experience and has such a positive energy. The days were filled with so much laughs, learning and fun! I would recommend !

What an amazing experience. Danny was an incredible host. He brought so much great energy and was always so so patient with all our questions concerning the project! A truly inspirational person. The Amazon, the locals and even the animals are so very lucky to have him in their life. The project itself was amazing to see. It makes such a difference too when everyone in our group was passionate about wildlife and we all learned so much from Danny about rainforest conservation. The education and work was so enjoyable - you definitely have to enjoy getting stuck in!! It's all part of the fun.
