This was a very enjoyable experience, where I found myself enjoying socialising with the other volunteers and exploring the city. The location is conveniently placed near a tram and S bahn, making travel very simple and the manager, Don, was great, giving you the flexibility to enjoy the stay.

I had a good time volounteering at the hostel galluswarte :). The staff and team were awesome and the location is very well connected. Don as a host is very flexible and understanding and whenever I had an issue he always tried his best to solve it. We had free dinner and lunch included for a whole month(which was in addition to the already included breakfast) and the tasks were fairly easy to understand. The work times were respected and the volounteer rooms were well kept and equipped. If you want to volounteer in germany I'd say this opportunity is very very solid

Had a really great time in Frankfurt. Tasks were very easy and the hours were respected. The employees in the hostel were very friendly and you can practice your German. Lastly, everyday we had breakfast included so that was nice. We even had most of the days lunch and dinner as well so that was a big plus

I spent 4 weeks volunteering at this hostel and it was great. The host, Don, is amazing and the whole staff is super friendly, social, and welcoming. Regarding the work, everything was extremely fair: schedules and tasks were fully respected, well-organized, and nothing was too complex or overwhelming. The atmosphere is truly international and cozy, making it very easy to meet people from all over the world. The neighborhood itself isn't the best, but the location is super convenient, close to the city center, and perfectly connected by public transport. I had a wonderful time here. Thanks Don

I had an amazing time at the hostel Galluswarte, it really felt like home away from home. Thank you Don for being so understanding and friendly! The workload was chill and fair. I worked at the bar but there was also opportunities to work at reception or do odds tasks around the hostel. The hostel/hotel is very large so you end up becoming really close with the other volunteers and staff. The biggest bonus was free breakfast and often free dinner too so you can save a lot. Only negative was the room doesn't have AC, only a fan (most of Germany), so it took some getting use to the heat on hot nights

My experience at the hostel was very good. The tasks and working hours were respected, and the breakfast is a super complete buffet. Don has been very kind and attentive throughout the whole experience, and the rest of the hostel staff have also been super friendly!

We had a good experience volunteering at the hostel for a month. Everyone from the staff was very kind and welcoming, and they were always willing to help us whenever we needed. The experience was also a good opportunity to meet different people and experience the hostel environment from another perspective. As with any place, there were some things that could be improved, especially regarding the organization and some of the facilities available for volunteers. Overall, we are grateful for the experience and for everyone who made our time there special!

The experience was okay... the management has changed, which explains the good reviews in the past. The hostel is in a poor location; it's quite far from downtown. The tasks didn't really match what was listed in the ad. I started working the moment I arrived, mostly doing difficult tasks. I was asked to fill in for an employee at another hostel across the street. There was no team spirit at all. However, the food is free, and the room is decent. And all the employees are really nice.
