I had a wonderful experience at the school in Cuenca, Ecuador. The staff and students were warm and welcoming, and everything was clear from the start with no last-minute surprises. I will definitely return, and I want to thank Michell and Nina, along with the rest of the staff, for welcoming me. I highly recommend it—Cuenca, Ecuador truly felt like my second home.

This was a good two weeks of my life. I learnt a lot about Cuenca and Ecuador from the students and sometimes could have a real laugh with them. They also shared a few words and phrases of Spanish. The place is good to stay, good kitchen and nice little patch of grass. Plenty food is provided considering it’s just breakfast. And one night we went out with the teachers for pizza which was really cool. I would say that before the other volunteer arrived I felt a little isolated as although the teachers are lovely they are understandably busy with many hours of teaching. Otherwise it was fab!

I had a great time at the school. The staff were very kind and accommodating. It was a pleasure to speak with the students, and I learnt a great deal from them about the culture and lives of Ecuadorians. The school is located very close to the centre, and they were flexible and supportive with the work schedule.

My experience at the school was very rewarding, since I got to interact with the students of different age groups as well as different English levels sometimes. That truly push me to become more creative to keep the groups engaged at all times. I've learned so much. The accommodation is in campus, while it was ok, it sometimes was too overstimulating for me. The hours and agreed terms were respected. I think maybe the culture is quieted, because the communications was held to a minimum. Overall I'm super grateful for the experience and do recommend it. Thank you!!

The owners are sweet and kind and they respond quickly if you need anything. The school staff are welcoming and friendly and great at teaching, evidenced by how quickly the students advance. The students are social and motivated to learn. The location is great, in a safe area surrounded by restaurants and stores. The historic downtown, Madre Park, and Tumi are all well within comfortable walking distance, as are the many rivers. These have lovely paths and bridges to walk. There are many large malls just a short bus ride away. Make sure to buy a transport card before you leave the terminal.

My stay at the school was really incredible. I had an amazing time getting to know my students and the staff. I learned so much and made lots of friends. This was my first WorkAway experience but it was great! the room was comfortable, the kitchen was always stocked with fresh food and I had lots of free time to explore the city and meet new people! I am very thankful for the school and would love to return someday!

I had a wonderful time at the school. The students were eager to practice their conversation skills by discussing specific topics and playing games in every lesson. Lessons were usually 4–5 hours per day, with 2-hour sessions on Saturdays. Sundays and Wednesdays were free. the school is located very close to downtown—within walking distance of many attractions. The accommodation had great facilities, a clean room, and a kitchen that was always re-stocked with breakfast. Thanks to Nina for coordinating, and to all the other staff who helped make this a wonderful experience.

This was a really unique experience exchanging cultures and learning about ecuador as a whole. I had a wonderful time with students and the different levels of understanding English. This has helped improve my Spanish and communication skills. The host was supportive, kind and friendly. The location is safe and reasonably close to downtown and other surrounding areas. I highly recommend this facility due to the fact they are changing lives not just teaching English. Thank you soul much for the opportunity professionally and personally . Blessings to all!
