My stay at the hostel was really nice. Michael is a very friendly person that was always kind even though I made a few mistakes during my first shift. The Hotel is lokated perfectly to discover San pedro and the other cities around the lake, which i did in my free time before my shifts. I always worked the evening shift, from 3 - 8 pm at reception, which was pretty chill. Really enjoyed my time there.

This was a really nice experience, the work was very mixed. It ranged from helping in the restaurant to doing gardening and construction work. Sometimes it would be busy and sometimes quiet so there was an entertaining mix of things to do. The people were so nice and welcoming, they were amazing. It was a bonus being in a place that was a bit out of the centre and had a nice chill vibe about it. I would recommend!

The Don Pascual experience was great :) my tasks were varied, I helped in the restaurant, in gardening and in painting a mural with other volunteers, which made the work very versatile and not at all boring! The area with the stalls is okay; during the period I was there, there was no hot water in the shower. Michael is understanding and flexible, the communication was always clear and positive. I had the opportunity to connect with amazing people during my volunteering. Very, very grateful for what I lived at Don Pascual!

People are very friendly and everything agreed from the start is always kept; it was my first volunteering experience and, to be honest, I had a great time with everyone.

My experience at the hostel was very educational; the location is excellent, a place with access to the lake. A view that brightens your day. Unfortunately I arrived in the rainy season, which made the facilities a bit difficult for my stay, since there was no hot water. I had some concerns that Michael addressed with respect, and I am very grateful. I met people that I carry in my heart. Flori helped me and taught me a lot as well. I wish you all the success for your projects! ❤️✨🫂 Thank you for opening the doors to that beautiful place. 🤍🍃

It was my first experience volunteering in this community, and honestly it exceeded my expectations. The tasks were light and very pleasant; I participated in a remodeling project by making some furniture. Although I didn’t manage to finish it, I learned a lot during the process. The hotel staff were always kind and attentive, and Maicol was on top of everything with very good energy. The town has a unique magic, and with Lake Atitlán in the background, every day feels special. Thank you for the opportunity!

The place is beautiful, near the lake and on the outskirts of San Pedro, which helps a lot to stay very peaceful. I was lucky to have a room all to myself. The work I did was maintenance and repair; I learned a few things. They are flexible with the schedules; the only thing that would be good to improve is the breakfast they offer, in my opinion it was very little, especially because I was doing manual work.

A place with a good location, quiet and beautiful.
There are many things to do and improve.
The local people who work here are very nice. Michael is good and open to listening; we should also take action.
Thank you :)

Michael replied

We are sorry that the experience was not satisfactory. From the outset, we provided clear information and suitable accommodation.

There were situations outside what was agreed that made coexistence difficult, but we always remained open to dialogue.

We are surprised by your assessment, as it does not reflect what was experienced. We remain committed to offering authentic exchanges based on respect and collaboration.
