We've really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It's a nice place, where a person can get in touch with nature. There's a pool in the resort and within walking distance are two beautiful cenotes. But everything else is quite far, so one has to take an uber or figure out, how the guaguas work (which we truly recommend). The amount of work depends on how many customers are there, most of the time in summer it's less than six hours. Most of the stuff speaks only Spanish, so we've sometimes had a hard time understanding them.

My stay at the lodge was amazing! So far, it's been my best experience. Camilo is a great host and boss, empowering you, being very respectful, kind and mostly fun. I was very surprised by how much he helped us volunteers fulfill our tasks - something I haven't experienced before. While being in Punta Cana, you get also the opportunity to do scuba diving with Camilo or his brother Santiago, which I highly recommend- either for a onetime experience or to become a certified diver. The connection with nature is beyond imagination. I recommend the lodge and Camilo 1000% with all my heart ❤️

My experience at the lodge was incredible, since I arrived the people were friendly and kind, at all times they always make sure that you are comfortable and feel at home. The place is beautiful, lots of nature, animals and the cabins are very comfortable. I could say that my biggest inconvenience was adapting to mosquitoes but he could get along well. With regard to cleaning and working hours, they are actually simple things and there are more free days than others, where you can take advantage of going for a walk.

A huge thank you to Mary, Francisco, Fino, Famuel and Camilo for their incredibly warm welcome!
I spent four amazing weeks that allowed me to live up close to the locals and fully discover Dominican culture.
One small note: the beach isn't very close, but Camilo is always very available to take us there as soon as we want.
Very attentive to our wishes, he also gives us a lot of freedom while sharing excellent recommendations.
Thanks again for everything!

It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it 100%. Camilo was always available for anything; he accompanied us at all times and listened to us for any needs we had. Fino is also a wonderful person: he made sure we enjoyed the experience and was very flexible with our free time and our working hours. I had the opportunity to explore the area and to form friendships I never imagined forming ❤️ El Ekohotel is a bit far from the sea, so getting around will require using Uber or public transportation.

Il lodge is a special place. You feel part of a large extended family. It is a place for those who want to reconnect with nature. You are surrounded by greenery and you wake up in the morning to the crowing of roosters. You have the chance to speak Spanish but also English depending on the guests who arrive. You have the possibility to immerse yourself in Dominican culture by getting to know its cuisine and traditions. If you are looking for a place near the beach it is not the most suitable place, but it is still possible to reach it by local transport. Thanks to everyone for making this experience unique!

My experience at the accommodation was extremely good! All the staff are very kind and you will feel loved, I will miss you all and I hope to see you very soon! One point to clarify is that public beaches are somewhat far away, so Fino will surely tell you how to get around in Punta Cana or in the country; those who go, help Mari in the kitchen, without a doubt I will miss the sancocho and the movie nights, karaoke (nice, everything seems nice to me). See you soon 🫶
