If you are a proactive person with great interest in sharing and acquiring new knowledge, developing skills for managing groups and exchanging experiences with other young people who, like you, are interested in environmental topics, this program is for you.
We are an Environmental Education and Cultural Center located in Jesús María, Aguascalientes (about 25 minutes from downtown Aguascalientes), belonging to the Miguel Ángel Barberena Vega Foundation .A.C. An institution with more than 30 years of history, where you can exchange experiences with different volunteers, as well as a friendly team of staff.
Each member participates in different and very varied activities, with notable emphasis on those related to the main activity of our center: Non-formal environmental education. But they are also required in various support tasks for our institution, not necessarily related to this aspect.
During your stay we include:
- Lodging at the Hacienda with furniture and basic services
- Meals throughout your stay: either with prepared foods (subject to the cooking calendar) or with the supplies for you to cook.
- Training and a certificate of collaboration at the end of the stay.
Collaboration:
- Ideal stay of 6 weeks to 3 months.
- Collaboration from Monday to Friday with a variable schedule.
- Participation in programs of thematic visits, camps, workshops, trainings, maintenance of areas such as orchard, compost, living pharmacy, forest nursery, garden for pollinators, turtle habitat, labyrinth, tool warehouse and teaching materials, among others.
You will participate in thematic visits and school camps. Each week has a variable schedule that is defined on the preceding Fridays, with an average commitment of 30 hours per week.
It is a complete stay program, where we aim for you to participate for an average of 6 to 12 weeks, with weekends at your disposal.
