Bhavani, David, and their family fully welcomed me from the moment i arrived. the work was fair and well communicated. i was able to spend a lot of time in nature and went to a tree planting with David & community members, which was great :). the family regularly invited me to spend time with them or to come for meals, but they also provided adequate space for me to do things on my own too. they were very accommodating so i could maximize my experiences while on the island. i will cherish the memories made while with the Rookses, especially ocean swims with Bhavani & her friends. thank you 💓

This has been a really memorable experience for me. Going on my first solo trip, I was worried I would be lost and not really know what to do, however the farm took really good care of me and I'm really lucky to have met them. They taught me how to plant trees, how they built up their the farm sustainable plot of land from scratch, and just how to live life more simply. I am really grateful for the company they gave me as well, bringing me out to meet their friends, and driving me around the island for my own travelling. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

David and Bhavani were so kind to offer me rides to and fro the town for me to get my supplies or venture out:) Work hours and tasks were flexible and I had plenty of time to immerse myself in nature like I hoped!!

My first worldpack experience and Bhavani and her family made it so comfortable for me! Both David n Bhavani were so kind to bring me around, i learnt alot on sustainability, recycling, environmental benefits behind eating a kangaroo burger! Jas, Isabel, Lou and Logan were also so kind, funny and warm to integrate me. Work was very chill and short hours, did interesting projects with David. Highlight was the last night - australian dinner, sunday quiz, and amazing 'ritual' 🤭🔥

I had an amazing time staying with Bhavani and David. They were great hosts and really took us in and made sure we had a good time! Besides the work (which was very reasonable hours) we went on a trip with David where we learned about the local nature and environment. Besides this we went swimming, swagging, into town and much much more. I would definitely recommend visiting Phillip Island and the farm - both are great!

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was above and beyond! Phillip Island is so special and this family was so open and eager to show us the best possible time and teach us all of their knowledge. The work was so fun and location made id all the better. We also got to go on some really beautiul walks, see some awesome wildlife, and go surfing. I would 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone!

So so happy I've been able stay here and will miss it very much!!! It's a the farm paradise tucked away in nature, since it's a dream of mine to eventually do self sufficient homestead type livin I got really inspired and learned a lot in my time here! But most of all what made my stay so special is not the location but the people! I feel forever grateful for meeting the farm family and will hold this memory very close! <3

David and Bhavani were amazing hosts and so welcoming, they made me feel at home from day 1!! The caravan was so cozy and the view was stunning. I learned a lot about sustainable living and giving back to the environment and community. The work was quite fun, pretty flexible, and very rewarding. The island is gorgeous and the wildlife is pretty cool!! I loved every minute I spent on the island and with the farm!!!! Thank you for everything!!!! It was such an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend to other World packers.

I felt very welcomed at Bhavani's and Davids's home. The caravan was nice and had everything I needed, even a heater for colder nights. Besides carpeting, weeding and paving I also contributed a the farm bit at the community festival on Churchill island together with David, which was fun, I worked with school kids on the farm the other day as well! The Two of them made me feel as a part of the farm as they invited me to watch my first Aussie football game and having a small bbq together and I enjoyed our everyday talks a lot. They also drove me and picked me up anytime. Would recommend a 100%!
