Thanks to the people from staff it was amazing, they helped me with everything that I needed and always suppored me. Thank you!!!!! Also this place is very good to improve your social skills, communication, flexibility. Tasks where not too complicated to handle, quite understandable. This was my first volunteering experience, and I recommend it!
Team: Incredible and super fun staff who always make you feel right at home.
Atmosphere: Non-stop party vibe. Perfect if you love nightlife, but keep in mind that quiet rest can be tricky.
Shifts: Organized weekly. Morning shifts focus on fast-paced room cleaning, while afternoon shifts are much more relaxed.
Workload: It can feel intense at the start, but once you get used to the tasks, it becomes flexible with plenty of free time.
Tips for Future Volunteers: Learn basic Italian cleaning vocabulary. Location: Great location

Everyone at Sunflower was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a really positive atmosphere from day one. The hostel has great vibes and is only a 10 minute walk from the beach.

The work is fair and straightforward, mainly consisting of laundry, housekeeping, and simple cleaning tasks. Each shift, you will also cook a meal for all the staff. This was a great way to bring everyone together, and it really created a sense of community that made the hostel feel like a family.

If you're looking for a friendly volunteering experience with a strong sense of community and good vibes, I'd definitely recommend it. One of the best parts of the experience was the atmosphere between the volunteers and staff. Every evening, one of the volunteers would cook dinner, and we'd all sit down together like a small family. Those shared meals created a welcoming environment and made the hostel feel more like a home than just a place to stay.

People there were really nice and helpful. Also the tasks were easy and there wasn't too much to do. Every day lunch and dinner are eaten together among the volunteers. Be prepared for that you may have to cook for example five times a week

- The next week's schedule was always sent only late on Sunday evening

Overall I had a good experience here

Volunteering at the hostel was a rewarding experience for me. Rimini is a colorful beach destination with awesome historical monuments and close proximity to San Marino. The hostel often organized social events in one of their two locations. I wish I had learned more Italian or Spanish in the past, but the hosts and the rest of the staff were truly welcoming and fair. The working hours were communicated clearly at the end of the week, and I was happy with the amount of free time I had each day. Working in the hostel gives you a lot of benefits, including the delicious meals every day.

Beautiful experience at the hostel! From the very first moment, they made me feel at home. Without a doubt, it's a place that will stay in my heart, just like the people I met and who accompanied me throughout my stay. I will miss you all so much. Davide and Raffaele are wonderful people who made me feel comfortable at all times. They are also very open-minded and big-hearted. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an enriching and fun experience. You work, but always with lots of laughter and joy. 🌻✨ Grazie di tutto! 💛

I applied for cleaning and later took over the pub crawl role, listed as volunteering on Worldpackers but then treated as a separate paid activity (€1.50/person). I did cleaning several times a week (9am–2pm) plus pub crawls 3 nights a week until 1am. The platform stated 2 days off/week, but we were given just 1.

During 2 weeks, several volunteers were sick, but no rest days were offered, justifying themselves with Ferragosto and the high workload. We're volunteers not workers.

Communication sometimes was very rude, which one of the owners even acknowledged Consider this before applying

There were two people infected with the virus in the volunteer room, and they infected me. I helped out for two days while running a fever of 39.8. On the second day, my whole body ached and it was hard for me to help, but I worked my shift until the end. The host wanted to kick me out because he thought he could find another volunteer who felt better and could get the work done faster. That irresponsible jerk didn't care that I'd caught a serious virus because he had put me in a room with sick people and then kicked me out. Shame on this place !

Overall, I had a good time at the hostel. The hostel is in a great location, very close to the beach, which is where I spent most of my free time. One thing future volunteers should be aware of is that the tasks you are assigned may differ from the position you originally applied for. I was initially expected to cook five days a week, even though I had applied for a cleaning position. However, after speaking with Davide, he was very understanding and adjusted my schedule to better reflect the role I had applied for.
