Program Details

At Caryle, volunteers become part of a growing women-led social enterprise using creativity, sustainability, and community action to address real social and environmental challenges in Kenya. We transform discarded textiles into reusable sanitary pads, washable diapers, and upcycled lifestyle products that support girls’ education, reduce waste pollution, improve household affordability, and create livelihood opportunities for women and youth.

We welcome volunteers from different backgrounds who are passionate about sustainability, social impact, creativity, entrepreneurship, community work, or cultural exchange. Volunteers can expect a practical, hands-on, and collaborative experience where learning and contribution happen side by side.

Depending on your skills and interests, you may support:

✔ Sewing and product production
✔ Textile sorting and upcycling
✔ Photography and videography
✔ Social media and storytelling
✔ Product design and branding
✔ Website and digital marketing support
✔ Community outreach and menstrual health awareness
✔ Training programs and workshops
✔ Exhibitions and events
✔ Packaging and quality control

In return, volunteers can expect a welcoming and respectful environment, practical learning opportunities, exposure to grassroots social entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, teamwork, and the opportunity to contribute to visible community impact. We value openness, creativity, flexibility, reliability, and positive energy.

Our environment is simple and community-centered rather than luxury-focused, so volunteers joining Caryle should come with an open mind, willingness to learn, and readiness to work in a dynamic startup-style setting where every contribution matters.
