I really enjoyed my three weeks of volunteering at Backpacker's hostel. It was low season so there wasn't a lot of guest, the tasks were more about keeping the hostel clean. El Paredon is a really good place to stay as there is always something to do :)

I've really enjoyed my experience in this hostel. The place is very cosy and the fact that the volunteering pay the food and the volunteers can cook in the outside kitchen has been an amazing thing !

My volunteering experience here was short but overall very positive. I had planned to stay longer, but I realised that the heat and mosquitoes made it difficult for me to continue. Despite that, I'm really grateful for the time I spent there. Nery is a very kind and welcoming host, and I felt well received throughout my stay. The atmosphere is very social and international, with lots of young travelers, events, surfing, and a lively vibe. It's definitely a great place for people who enjoy a social and active environment.

I've had an amazing month at the hostel in El Paredon!! The work was manageable, mostly cleaning and being available at reception :)) It's a relaxed athmosphere in a calm hostel, but the party hostels are all really close (10 min walk). The beach is also close by which is incredible for watching sunsets! The work is easy and structured, though it's 6 hours and not 5, but that's also written in the agreement Nery shares with you before taking the volunteering position :))
Overall I've had an amazing time!!

My three-week stay at the hostel was great. I came to improve my surfing, and being only five minutes from the beach was a huge advantage. I rented a board from a local shop and got a good deal through the hostel. The volunteer work was relaxed and the hours were respected. The booking system could be clearer and organization was sometimes lacking, but overall it was easy. Nery was welcoming and provided enough food for three full meals a day. I had a positive experience and would recommend it.

It was a great experience being in Nery's the hostel! I got to meet lots of travellers and socialize with everyone. The tasks were easy and simple, and even when I did work I had plenty of time in the day to do my own things! The host is welcoming and I've always felt safe and respected. If you are looking to meet people and you love the beach and surf, this is the place for you! One thing I would've like more is to get immersed into the culture, but working in a hostel makes it complicated since the community staying in the hostel is often non locals. Apart from that, it was great!!

My volunteering experience in El Paredón was very good. Nery is an excellent host, very kind, flexible with schedules, and always willing to help. The work is not hard at all, even though the shift is six hours, the actual work usually takes only about one and a half hours, and at most two to two and a half hours.

The hostel is very calm and relaxed. It is a bit away from the center, but that actually makes it more peaceful, and it's not a problem since the walk to the center is only about 8-12 minutes. The atmosphere is great, and people in El Paredón are generally very friendly.

I really enjoyed my time volunteering at this hostel. It's just a five minute walk from the sea, perfect to see sunrise and sunset every day. The hostel is super chill, perfekt to relax and easy to meet new people. The work is not to complicated, a lot if is just being available in case Guests need your help. I would totally recommend volunteering here

It was a great overall experience and I recommend it. It is currently slow season so there wasn't much to do besides keep the place clean. I was alone for a good portion of my stay which is great but it got boring at times. But because it's slow season that's expected

My experience at the hostel was good! The vibe was super welcoming from the start and you get to meet so many different travelers. It is a small hostel tucked away from the main strip and social /party hostels. This makes it a good place to relax and slow down, still a short walk to events and walking distance from the beach. The work is fair, 6 hrs a day 6 days per week and you can take your days off however you like (save them to take at once) which is what I did so I could go somewhere! It is a little bit of cleaning and mostly just being available at reception.
