We had a great time volunteering at Athula's the hotel. He is very kind, friendly, and flexible, and let us choose what and when we worked. At times it felt a bit awkward, since there wasn't much to do and we really wanted to feel useful, so we focused mostly on housekeeping, which felt like real, meaningful work. The place is gorgeous: we had an amazing beachfront room and enjoy the pool almost daily. When the hotel was busy, there was a buffet that was amazing; otherwise, meals were very basic with little variety. Overall, it was a wonderful place to relax during our trip.

Overall I had a great experience at the hotel, I was along with other volunteers and we enjoyed our time together. The host, Athula, was flexible with the tasks and hours, which was also great to plan trips on days off. I mainly helped with checking the rooms in the hotel, even if sometimes the communication was a bit hard, the staff are very kind and want to help. I also got to paint some decorations for the lobby, which I really enjoyed. The rooms were really nice for a volunteer position, and the food was amazing, i would recommend! :)

Great experience overall! Athula is awesome and so accommodating! Him and his staff are so friendly and kind, and they really want to make sure you have everything you need to make your volunteering stay a good one. We created marketing videos for the hotel and Athula's restaurant in Colombo and had a blast making them with him!

The room and the amenities were insane for a volunteer position! Huge the hotel rooms shared with volunteers, you are expected to clean your own room obviously. 3 meals a day, varies between buffet or a small menu (the buffet is AMAZING, so many choices). I was hired on to do social media, which was fun and laid back. Sometimes it was confusing what exactly I needed to do, they tried to have me help in reception but expectations and roles were very unclear. I will say the hotel is far from tourist spots in Sri Lanka:( Other than that everyone was nice and it was a good experience.

The hotel was my first volunteering experience. I came with a friend, and we shared a room with two other volunteers. The hotel staff was incredibly kind, and the hotel manager was very attentive to the volunteers' needs. My friend and I mainly helped with cleaning the rooms. We also had three meals included every day, and they were always delicious often served as a large buffet, which we really enjoyed. The only downside is that there isn't much to do around the hotel in terms of activities or places to visit.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel :) The location right by the sea is perfect for watching the most beautiful sunsets, the pool was always warm, and we could relax there before or after work. The food was really great on buffet days, but on all other days it could be a bit monotonous. The staff were always super friendly, even if there were communication problems. Work was mostly easy to manage depending on the task (housekeeping, restaurant, or reception). Unfortunately I never worked in Colombo, did mostly Housekeeping. The hotel hast some things to improve, but I'm sure they will.

My experience here was great. Athula is such a nice, open-minded and available person. the hotel has a lot of potential, but there are several things that need to be improved. For example, the cleaning standards and the communication skills of the staff.
We were the happiest when there was a buffet! Otherwise, the food was still good, but sometimes not enough. People there are really lovely, always smiling! I should have stayed longer, but I had to leave, and the GM and Athula completely understood me.
Go there with a proactive mentality!Thank you so much to all of you, wish you the best!

It was a pleasure to stay at the hotel, the hotel staff very friendly and helpful, working hours fairly easy to manage either houses keeping or restaurant shift so after that you'll have plenty of time to explore around, usually two shifts moring shift from 9Am to 2Pm, afternoon shift from 2PM to 7Pm, sometime they ask to help café Colombo located in shopping center rooftop with stunning ocean view so don't miss it! Thank you again Athula anr all of the hotel team! All the best ❤️

The hotel was an incredible first volunteer experience. Athula and the entire team are incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The traditional Sri Lankan food is delicious and the time spent with the other volunteers was wonderful. The work is simple and flexible, with respected schedules. It generally involves helping with cleaning or supporting the restaurant. Thank you, Athula, for opening the doors to your project and for creating such a special space with such special people. I will definitely be back soon!
