The experience

This might be a perfect fit for you!

What You’ll Do:
• Help open up the shop
• Talk to people on the street and make them aware of our awesome surf trips and lessons.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish

Over 20 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Our Surf School is looking for responsible and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team!

It’s import that you’re not afraid of talking to strangers and have a pro-active attitude.

You will help us open up our shop. Talk to ppl on the street, make them aware of our awesome surf trips and lessons and help prepare boards etc. It’s a big + if you have basic knowledge of surfing. You don’t have to be good, (we can help you with that!)

We have daily surf trips, and you’re welcome to join when you’re not working!

Or grab a surf board and get in at any time on the break in Sayulita!
We offer you a rustic basic palapa with space for your belongings. There is a kitchen, bathroom and chill area.
We have free drinking water. Food is not included.

Note: this is not a tour guide position, but worldpackers doesn't give us a better option to choose from

Activities & Shift

We ask for 5 hours a day for 5 days a week.

Together with the other volunteer we will make a schedule so that you both have enough time to explore the town and of course surf as much as you'd like before or after work!

Rules

Due to the natural materials used in the palapa, smoking, lighting candles, or open fires are not allowed. Furthermore, out of respect for the privacy of our volunteers and our own, we request that visitors are not brought in during your stay.
