Before coming to the home, I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but they were absolutely right. The work was never hard, and doing it with the other volunteers made it fun. The host Eric is calm and kind, the work actually happens at the agreed hours, he also makes a point of taking us to local events so that we can live the experience in an immersive way. Staying at the home was an incredible experience! It was wonderful to meet Ben & Eric and stay in their beautiful home! We had so much fun exploring some of the most beautiful places in Italy and the work around the house was straightforward and fun! Ben & Eric are so kind and encouraged us to explore Italy as much as we could! It was very fun to have other wonderful volunteers join us during our stay as well. I would absolutely recommend the home to anyone looking for tranquility and to explore Umbria and Tuscany!

I spent three weeks at the home, and it was an amazing experience. Ben is a very open-minded, thoughtful and kind person, and we felt included and welcomed from day 1. Loads of good dinners, drinks and conversations throughout these three weeks. She also have three cats, and a beautiful house! We got to experience a lot of different villages, because we had a car as well! Beautiful surroundings:) 10/10 experience!!

The three weeks I spent at the home was a genuine dream. When I saw the reviews I initially thought it was too good to be true, when in fact it was beyond my expectations! Ben and Eric are wonderful hosts - I had my own room which was very comfortable, and we volunteers also had our own kitchen space. Ben is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about Italy, and encouraged us everyday to explore while giving us suggestions on what to do. I will miss the home and Magione forever, thank you both for a beautiful time I will never forget :))

My experience with Ben and Eric was incredible. The house is surrounded by nature, and they provide a car so volunteers can easily visit nearby villages and towns in Hungary, including beautiful medieval villages.
The activities are calm, they are flexible, and weekends are free. They are warm and caring hosts.
They also keep a recipe book where volunteers can add a dish from their country, and an art board where everyone can leave a message or drawing.
