My stay at Etxea Surf Hostel was just wonderful. I felt at home and David and Aritz are very welcoming. The hostel is very social and I had a great time with the other volunteers and the guests. The Pintxopote was always super fun! The tasks were easy to do and the beach is very close by to go surfing. the hostel Sebastián has a lot to offer like food, bars and going on a hike as well. I highly recommend this place!

Had the most incredible experience volunteering at surfing etxea! David & Aritz were super friendly, understanding, and flexible and made me feel right at home. I was able to meet so many incredible volunteers and awesome people staying at the hostel. San Sebastian was stunning and this was one of my favorite trips to date. Highly highly recommend for anyone looking to have an incredible abroad experience!!!

My time the hostel Seb has been so wonderful!!! It is such a lovely little hostel, everything's so clean, modern and social. The little volunteer apartment is coming together nicely and I loved making all our family meals with the others and making it a home💘 the team are great (big shout out to Fran). The location is incredible - 2 minute walk to Zurriola, perfection. Easy to carry surf boards to and from as well. Feeling very grateful. 10/10 recommend ☺️

Etxea means “home” in euskera, and that's what this was from me. I met amazing beautiful people, both coworkers and guests of the hostels, because good energy always attracts good energy. Aritz and David are such amazing managers, they make you feel you're part of something from day 1. One thing I really appreciated is that they really care enough to talk things true, the hostel respectful yet direct way. Thanks for the special moments family, I'll never forget this month 🧡

The experience at Surfing etxea was great! The hostel is very nice and tidy and it Is in an excellent location, a few meters from the beach. It was very helpful to improve my spanish and english. The job at the hostel mainly consists of working at check in and taking care of the hostel in general. The hosts David and Aritz are very helpful and kind. I reccomend this experience :))

I would 100% recommend this experience at Surfing Etxea the hostel! The host and owner are super friendly and the hostel is beautiful, very chill and very well located near the beach and cool bars, perfect to try pinchos! The hours of work consist of reception, doing check-ins, showing the hostel to the guests and managing the bar and coffee machine. The working schedule is well respected and the host is flexible for your requests. The amazing team of volunteers made this experience unforgettable! Thank you Surfing Etxea!

The best first volunteering experience i could ask for! it truly felt like family and i will really miss it. definitely will be back to see everyone again. the job was amazing and working at reception allowed me to meet so many travelers from all over the world. my favorite part was making coffees for the guests and chatting with everyone that walked through the reception area. only two blocks from the beach, you really can't beat it. thank you david and aritz (and all of my fellow volunteers) for such a wonderful experience and for making the hostel sebastián feel like home. xoxo, nati

I had an incredible experience at Surfing Etxea. David and Aritz are wonderful bosses, and I'm so grateful for the chance to volunteer at this welcoming hostel. The hostel itself is lovely and conveniently located near the beach. The tasks were easy to handle, allowing me to fully enjoy the amazing city of the hostel Sebastián.
