I had such a great time working at the guest house ! John and the other staff members were so nice and welcoming! I also loved meeting all of the other worldpackers — it was a really nice apartment to share with the other girls! Its a fun environment working in the guest house! Great location — So many beautiful hikes nearby and the train station is right next to the guest house which is nice and handy. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back in the future :)

This was my first World Packers experience and it was great! The staff were very welcoming and accommodated to anything you needed. The customers were always so friendly and wonderful to chat with! Having 3 days off was perfect to explore the mountains, take a weekend trip, or go into the city. the guest house is close to the train station and many bus stops.

I loved my time at the guest house! The work was easy and fun. Everyone is very welcoming and nice and it quickly felt like family:) on top of all that, the accommodation is great! Plenty of walks to do and well connected to the other towns around. I definitely recommend volunteering here and hope to be back someday!

We had a great time working with John and the guest house team! Everyone is welcoming and helpful. Even though I had never worked in hospitality before, the whole team was patient and gave me tips and tricks, which was very kind of them. The washing machine stopped working during our stay, but John solved the problem as soon as he could. The location of the guest house is perfect if you enjoy hiking, as you can easily access the major trails. You are also very close to the train station, which makes it easy to go to Sydney on your days off.

I really enjoyed my time at the guest house, and even extended my stay an additional 2 months to what I agreed upon initially because of how kind and accomodating the people were. The highlight for me was definitly the coworkers, but the location is also great and very convienient being next to a train station, with great hikes nearby too!

I was here for 3 months while I waited for a visa approval. Welcoming team. Location is great close to train/shops/hikes. You get leftover wine/desserts sometimes. Food is yummy off tapas style menu. You're limited to what's priced under $25ish so few choices if you have any dietary req. Half the staff are worldpackers or juniors. I was here with another long termer & they relied heavily on us to perform as if paid employees which led to frustration. I would work over 20hrs and my cash payment was often late. Oven broken. Dryer smokes the fire alarm. Washer floods. Promised to fix, never did.

I had a nice time working here for three weeks. I had a lot of fun with the staff and other volunteers. The agreement was respected regarding working hours and housing. The only thing that is not as described is the meal situation. Volunteers don't get food every day only on work days where they have shifts. Other then that everything was fine and I had a nice time

Hi Lily, thanks for your review! We really enjoyed having you stay with us. To clarify, the meal schedule is actually clearly described in the description. it states 'Basically, if you share your time with us to help out in our Bar & Restaurant, we provide accomodation and meals (During restaurant & Bar hours of operation) with a decent amount of free days to explore what the stunning Blue Mountains World Heritage area has to offer.'
Kind regards,
John

I stayed for a month and it was a fantastic experience. The work was very reasonable and within just a few days I felt like I’d been working there for years. Shout out to the team—Liarna, John, Nathan, Holly, Dan—who were kind, supportive, and fun to work with. While I was there, each volunteer had our own room, which was a plus, and the exchange was honored as outlined: 20hr/week plus meals and any extra work was paid at $30/hr. If the opportunity ever came up to return, I would do so in a heartbeat. It truly felt like a home away from home and I’m incredibly grateful for the hospitality. <3

It was my first Worldpackers experience, and it couldn't have been better! The Blue Mountains is such a stunning place, and the guest house team is super kind, helpful, and friendly. The accommodation is great and really close to the train station. I had an amazing time there!

I came here with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed our stay, the room and kitchen were very nice and had a lot of space for cooking and hanging out. We live on the room above the guest house which made very easy to just go downstairs and walk or finish the day and just relax. The town is beautiful and there are a lot of hikes to do, with amazing views.
