Volunteering at the hostel was one of the best experiences of my life, if not the best so far. The people who run this hostel are the most fun, easy-going and they love what they do. Managers Mati and Tizzi were absolutely amazing, communicative and clear on what needed to be done. The work shedule is very good for also having time to explore the island. The location of the hostel is a bit remote from the town (30mins on foot) but the walk along the ocean becomes your routine and the hostel is next to the most stunning beach and mountain. I recommend this experience a lot, thanks

I had a great time at the hostel. The atmosphere at the hostel is very warm and welcoming and it feels like home. Especially during high season it's very easy to connect with international travellers and to spend time with the guests in the many common areas of the house. The location is incredible! It's close to the ocean and to one of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife. The work is easy and well organised, and I had a lot of free time to travel around and enjoy the island.

I can higly recomend the hostel, it was like a small family to me and the vibe was in general super friendly, funny and just good. I collected a lot of good memories in that time and even stayed longer. The work conditions are really fair, one day working and the next day off and you will not get ask to do more. The work is totally manageable if you know how to clean you're own flat you will not have a problem. The managers Matti and Tizi make sure that everyone feels comfortable, and you can come to them with any problems – they are there for you. In general 10/10 Thanks for everything

My experience in the hostel as a volunteer was really cool. I made a lot of memories from that time. I had to stay only one month but I felt really good and happy so I stayed for four months. It was one of the best volunteering experiences that I've ever had. the hostel is one of the best choice for everyone. It has a really good organisation and the managers Tizi and Mati are the best. My experience was spoiled by how management handled an incident of SA of a volunteer. In my view, their response included victim-blaming language, a focus on protecting the person who caused harm, & clear gaps in understanding consent. Someone who spoke up in support of the affected volunteer was asked to leave before the person responsible. This sent a very clear message about whose voices were valued. Unfortunately, the only thing that was protected was the patriarchy & systems that allow violence against women. I chose to leave early bcs of it, and was discouraged from sharing this publicly

I've stayed at the hostel for a month and I would have never wanted to leave, the connections that are created by living in this hostel are deep and beautiful. Talking about the work aspect: the shift are established beforehand and you will not get asked to do more, during the shift you will obviously have to work but the job is not difficult or too tiring and the context in which it takes place helps to make it more enjoyable. Here I found what I was looking for and even more, a house full of beautiful people who soon became family.

I was so incredibly lucky to spend time with AloeVera! The people, the environment, the lifestyle was better than i could have imagined. It's a special location with a special team of people, I am a better person from knowing them and being apart of the community. So much gratitude for my time on the island. 🫶

I have been very lucky! the hostel is not just a hostel but a true the hostel when strangers become family and the place becomes home. Two minutes from a not crowdy beach where you can go to surf and relax, plenty of food for the volunteers, both managers friendly and generous, and an atmosphere of peace and fun. It is everything you can look for! Hope to come back at some point :)
