I had the best time ever at the hostel! The environment is so friendly that you feel like home right away; meeting a lot of nice people from the staff to guests. Also the workload is fair and easy with a lot of free time to explore Montreal! The evening events are a plus, I had so much fun doing it and participating it. I recommend volunteering here 100%! Best experience ever! I made so many friends and truly found a home away from home. The work is easy, the location is prime, and the atmosphere is amazing. This is exactly how a hostel is supposed to feel. I'm leaving with incredible memories and nothing but good things to say. 100% recommend!

I had so much fun at the hostel in Old Montreal. the work was very simple and fun to do :-] (i burnt through 4 audiobooks over the course of 1 month !!) the staff made the environment so friendly and welcoming. even when i made slip ups or had a bigger share of work than usual, they were really sweet and always willing to help me out. towards the end of my stay, the hostel literally felt like my home :'] i had to leave a few days early but if i had it my way, i would've stayed for the full summer too. a 10/10 stay with 10/10 people !!!

My time in Montreal and at the hostel was truly amazing! I really love the people there, it's a very welcoming atmosphere and everyone is appreciated so much. I really recommend it to go there! The months I was staying there passed way too fast and I'll definitely be back!

I had a great time at the Alt Hostel and met some wonderful people! The work is easy and manageable, completely fair—it's great that you get two days off and the afternoons free, so there's plenty of time to explore this amazing, amazing city :) There's always someone willing to come along, wonderful how openly and friendly everyone talks to each other.

The work was easy and only took up 15 hours a week, however sometimes the tasks felt unnecessary and just to give us something to do. The sleeping conditions were ok, but the exchange of guests was disruptive, with some being better roommates than others. However, for various reasons I asked to move rooms and this was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The staff were kind, special shout-out to Chris for helping us integrate into Montreal socially, and Morgan for being fair in giving us tasks. The guests were on the older side, but I made some great friends among the volunteers!
