It was a great first experience with Worldpackers. I had so much fun staying at the hostel and meeting new people everyday. If that is your goal that will be the place for you. Would recommend to everyone.

This was my first experience with Worldpackers, and I can say it was a positive one. I had a great time in the hostel, and the staff was fantastic. The atmosphere was very familiar and comfortable, and the hostel offered many activities during the week. As for the work, the tasks weren't difficult, and the hours were longer than agreed upon, although this isn't a problem if you like working and being active. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have had this experience, and I definitely recommend it.

I was unsure whether to write a review as I didn't end up at the hostel. When I got off my bus to Zagreb I was asked to go to the sister hostel (world wide hostel) which was fine - I had read the previous reviews so was aware this could happen. When I got there I was told I needed to present myself to the government and lie, saying I should pretend I'm a digital nomad to receive a number ?taxcode. Alongside this the room was neglected and bedding yellow and stained. I left the following morning.

Hola !
The experience was good, although I did find it unfair that I had to work shifts that weren't detailed anywhere, receptionist from 12 AM to 8 AM shift (3 consecutive days a week!). This should be done by a paid employee, not a volunteer. I even had to deal with homeless people twice, too much responsibility for a volunteer who's supposed to assist and help those who ALREADY WORK THERE.
Breakfast was standard.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me :)

Overall I had a great time in the hostel and really enjoyed being there, the staff was nice, the place friendly and comfortable, and there are regularly different activities during the week, what is great for meeting people and changing ideas. However, the hostel relies heavily on volunteers to function properly: the tasks and schedules were sometimes not the same as what was agreed, and even if the work was not difficult to do it sometimes seemed not fair. Nevertheless, I recommend this experience to anyone looking for sociability and not afraid to work hard.

I had a fantastic time volunteering at the hostel and Whole Wide World. It was my first experience with Worldpackers and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. The entire team were amazing. The tasks were straightforward and the schedule was fair, which gave me plenty of time to explore and enjoy the city. Each hostel had its own vibe and I loved getting to be part of both. I left with great memories and new friends. I'm grateful for the opportunity and would highly recommend! ☺️

This was my first volunteer experience, and it has certainly left me excited for my next one. Once I arrived I received coaching and training for the various jobs available at both the hostel and the sister hostel Whole Wide World. The staff culture is excellent, they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the family immediately. Depending on what you wish to experience, there are various jobs available. I spent most of my time bartending, and had an amazing time at a very busy social bar. I would recommend this experience to everyone.

I came here with an old friend of mine Livia. We left Rome with no expetations and ended up falling in love with Zagreb and the environment we found in both hostels. Work was pretty easy and quite variable, there was always someone ready to help in case I got lost with the tasks. Volonteers, managers and receptionist were lovely, all available at any time. the hostel is chill and cozy, while its sister hostel - Whole Wide World - is were the party takes place. Volonteering here is perfect if you are looking for an experience that gives you both the opportunity to chill and have fun.
