My three weeks at the shelter were an amazing first Worldpackers experience. I especially loved working with the shy dogs and seeing their progress. Knowing I could make a positive difference in their lives was incredibly rewarding. Katha and Karen made me feel very welcome. The living conditions are simple and getting around without a car can be challenging, but walking and ubers make it possible to explore the area. I would love to come back one day! Highly recommended!🩷

Me and my girldfriend spend 3 weeks volunteering at the shelter and we are very happy we did that! The dogs are very lovely and most of them easy to handle. The work isn't too hard and includes a lot of time spend with the dogs. We were lucky to meet several amazing people/managers which we enjoyed working with. The way to town takes 30 minutes and can be hard in the heat and you might wait some time to get an Uber. We always felt welcome at the shelter and would definitly recommend volunteering there! We had an amazing time and made some great memories with the people and the dogs/cats.

My volunteering experience at the shelter was truly unforgettable! I had an amazing time and felt welcome from day one. The atmosphere is friendly, and the team is always there to help and patiently explain things to you whenever you need it.The working hours are fair, and you have a lot of free time to spend extra moments with the dogs or visit the nearby beaches. You can genuinely feel the incredible love and dedication behind the whole project. It was a truly fantastic experience! and I really hope to come back and do it again next year I really recommend it to anyone who loves animals

I had the most amazing time at the shelter. Karen and other staff really go above and beyond for all the animals there. The work is relatively easy and the hours are more than justifiable. I met some amazing people and the cutest, kindest dogs. I will miss all the dogs at the shelter, especially the oldies. Thank you for the opportunity Karen and I would recommend this experience 💗
