Working in a guesthouse was a new experience for me and I enjoyed it! The guesthouse is very tidy and clean. The working shifts are well-structured and “easy to work”. The hosts are very kind; whenever you need to take a short break you can take it. At times the communication was a bit difficult because not so many people speak English in the hostel. The room for the volunteers is very small and has now windows with fresh air or daylight. Sometimes it's noisy as well because the room is next to the kitchen. When I left the guesthouse the hosts surprised me with a gift, thx😽

It was very nice to work for the three girls and it was a great first experience through worldpackers! Everything is organised and the work environment is very relaxed. My work ethic was always honored and they showed a lot of thankfulness. They always made sure that you feel comfortable during your stay. For example, they bought me biological eggs for my breakfast! I was so happy :) The hostel is relatively new, so you can do more projects besides from general cleaning and reception if you want to. I would definitely recommend to go there and help them to develop their hostel!

What a wonderful experience! First thing I'm gonna talk about are the hosts: they are very kind people, always patient and at your disposal. They divide the day into three shifts: morning (cleaning), afternoon (housekeeping) and evening (reception). The work atmosphere is very relaxed and during your stay you get the chance to do all the shifts and learn all the tasks. You share a room with other 3 people and it can be loud sometimes but besides that I really recommend the experience and also to visit Braga, a very nice and historic city.

The the guest house is very centrally located in the middle of Braga. Ana showed me the house, my bed, the bathroom and the kitchen. The contact with the other three volunteers was very good. There I was also able to ask what the rules were. Unfortunately, this information came from neither Ana nor Violetta. The working hours were regulated and adhered to. The work was handled well and was closely monitored. The conditions in the house were very difficult for me. No windows, fresh air or daylight in the volunteer room or kitchen and no place where you could hang out. The kitchen opposite

I had an overall good experience at the guesthouse - Braga is a lovely city and the three hosts were very nice and friendly, plus flexible with days off. The work was organized in three different shifts and the hours were always respected. The room set for the volunteers was ok but sometimes a bit noisy because of the kitchen just in front; also, as the place is still quite new, there were only two bathrooms in the whole building and we had to share them with all the guests, so during busy days it wasn't always so easy to use them.

It was my first time doing volunteer work and it was a good experience. I was able to meet a lot of very nice people. The hosts are kind and very respectful of the working hours. They never asked us to work overtime. You can ask for specific days off and they will easily grant them to you if you ask enough in advance. They provided the breakfast (tea, coffee, bread, jam, milk, cheese, ham, etc). You can ask for more but they might decline if they consider it too expansive. The room is next to the kitchen so it's a bit noisy at times. Braga is lovely but small.

Dies war meine erste Erfahrung als Freiwillige und sie war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Von dem ersten Tag an haben mich Ana, Marcos und Violeta sehr wohl fühlen lassen! In einer familiären Umgebung. Sie sind wunderbare Menschen und waren immer bereit zu helfen.
Das Hostel ist sehr gut gelegen, im Zentrum von Braga, was es ermöglicht, die Stadt kennenzulernen. Die Arbeit ist einfach, die Arbeitszeiten werden eingehalten und es bleibt viel Freizeit, um zu genießen und die Stadt zu erkunden.
Ich nehme eine sehr schöne Erinnerung an meine Zeit dort mit und ich bin sehr dankbar, meine erste Erfahrung an diesem Ort gemacht zu haben. ❤️🙌

Ich mochte die Erfahrung so sehr, dass ich am Ende länger geblieben bin! Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und flexibel, das Team ist wunderbar und die Freiwilligen sind Partner. Die Aufgaben sind einfach und gut organisiert, mit Flexibilität, die Region zu genießen und unglaubliche Erfahrungen zu erleben. Ich werde meine Zeit im Gästehaus Barão 35 in liebevoller Erinnerung behalten. Von ganzem Herzen empfehle ich dieses Freiwilligenprogramm allen, die eine warme und unvergessliche Erfahrung suchen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Es war mein erstes Freiwilligenprojekt und ich wurde von den Gastgebern und den anderen Freiwilligen herzlich empfangen. Die Jugendherberge liegt mitten im Herzen der Stadt und alles, was man braucht, ist in der Nähe, um einzukaufen und zu besichtigen. Ich hatte während meines Aufenthalts die Gelegenheit, wunderbare Menschen kennenzulernen, und die wöchentlichen Arbeiten waren einfach.
Es gibt feste Arbeitszeiten und flexible Zeiten, wenn man Verpflichtungen hat. Ich hatte kein Problem mit Privatsphäre und alles war sehr respektvoll, ich empfehle!!
