I had a great time atthe lodge! I felt instantly welcomed and at ease. I worked the evening shift and really enjoyed it, the tasks were simple and easy to get the hang of! You get 3 yummy meals and have a lot of time to go on hikes and relax while you're there! Although the volunteer room is in need of a revamp I found it rather cozy.

I had a lot of fun at my stay here, however the night I got there I was made to wait for over an hour at the hotel in the town. The communication to start my work and know what to do was very difficult to begin with. It gets better after the first day, the people are lovely and I didn't work more than 4 hours a day. Getting to the town is a little difficult and we did run out of water and electricity a few times. We were given a heater to use as it got cold in the room but the staff are nice and I had a lot of fun!

Had an awesome two weeks in Gusinje! The work was great, the food was fantastic, and the whole experience was an absolute blast. Big shoutout to Doni, Linda and Rambo for making it such a great time, as well as all the other volunteers who made the experience even better. Would happily do it all over again!

My time at the lodgewas amazing! The work was easy and distributed between each volunteer. We had lots of free time to explore and go on nearby hikes! The staff is always willing to help with anything, including scheduling a taxi to and from the hikes. I already miss playing cards and volleyball with everyone! Overall, it was a great experience!!

I really enjoyed my stay! The owners/kitchen staff (especially Doni, Linda, and Ramush) were especially friendly and always joined us for games and volleyball. The work was fun and easy enough, although there could've been more communication early on about what exactly was expected/needed from us. Overall I would recommend this for a little break in nature (it is remote) with some great people!

I spent two weeks volunteering here and loved it! The nature and property are absolutely stunning, definitely a great way to immerse yourself in the mountains! (If you plan on doing hikes I recommend bringing cash with you as some require a short taxi transfer) The family are fun, welcoming and always down to socialise. The work tasks are straightforward. One thing that can be confusing at times is the communication, so I recommend bringing any questions or queries straight to Edon and he will happily help, or communicate between the other volunteers there so you know what is expected!

I had a wonderful experience here and truly felt like part of a family. The place is beautiful, surrounded by mountains with amazing hiking opportunities, lovely dogs and children on the territory. I loved the freedom to work in the bar or kitchen and people are open to your ideas. The food is fantastic, and evenings around the fire playing Uno were unforgettable. The work is easy, but organisation and communication could be clearer, and the volunteers' bathroom really needs maintenance. Overall, great to make friends and relax in the nature!

Everyone working here is talkative, and genuinely friendly, so if you can, try to spend some time with each of them individually. Shoutout to Manni,Aljo, Ramush, Linda, Greca, and Dillie! ❤️ The food was amazing, and ramush really appreciates it when you leave a good review, so definitely let him know how much you enjoyed it. The work is easy, and they are absolutely understanding of any clumsiness or lack of experience.🙈 They can help you with pretty much anything, so don't hesitate to ask!(6 lakes, 3 peaks are some of hikes) If I didn't have visa issues, I would definitely go back again :))

I really loved the experience here! I stayed for 2 weeks which I think was a perfect time. The family is super supportive, kind and really inclusive, they want everyone to be part of the fun and we were fed so well and always had the option to enjoy a drink and socialise together! Communication isn't always clear and I think it helps very much to be direct and state what you need or ask questions (in person) the host isn't always active on the phone but great in person. The only downfall was that the bathroom (shower) needs a renovation and most hikes require a taxi.

I absolutely loved my experience volunteering here! The host and family are some of the most welcoming and generous people. The work was simple, and you had plenty of time during the day to explore the surrounding area. The hiking was unreal, absolutely stunning and with hardly anyone around. You also get three delicious, generously portioned meals a day! I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a slower-paced experience and want to be surrounded with nature. Oh, and the puppies and kittens were an added bonus ☺️
