I spent 2 weeks here, and from the moment I arrived, they made me feel like part of the family. They are all such loving and fun people, and we spent so much time talking and laughing together. The work was very manageable, and I had the freedom to plan activities for the younger kids, with support from the teachers whenever needed. The children are so sweet and eager to learn! We did lots of drawing, games, sports and dancing together. I have so many fond memories, from learning to make momos to celebrating Dashain together. I had an amazing and immersive experience. You can really become involved in the school and community. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delicious, homemade meals shared with the family, making you feel as though you are part of it. As this is a school and a hostel for children, there is a schedule and curfew. You can teach the older children, play with the younger ones and contribute with what you can teach. The children are incredibly enthusiastic, curious, kind and happy to see you. I loved spending time with them. Thank you Sushi and family for such a wonderful experience! ❤️

Although the summer holidays gave us less time with the students, we had the chance to explore the city and form a special bond with Sushi, her family, and the girls. First of all, Director Sushi, who has been very helpful to me, is an incredible person in the work she does with children in Nepal, in the educational and social sense, and she made me feel very comfortable teaching sports to the children here. The entire Sushi family is special to me. Her husband Iam is a guide and has taken me to several places in Nepal. Her two daughters are very cool, and the children at the school are amazing.
