I had an amazing stay with Niki and Jens! From the very beginning, they made me feel at home and truly welcomed me as part of their family :) They are warm, kind and incredibly welcoming, and genuinely care about making you feel good. We had lots of fun playing board games together, which was a great way to connect! the farm is a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place, and I really loved the lifestyle there. The work is varied and depends on the weather, what needs to be done on the farm, and also on what you enjoy doing. I'm leaving with wonderful memories and will come back as a friend ! 🫶

My experience in Assens with Nici and Jens was wonderful. From the first evening, they welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. Their farm is a beautiful place, with chickens roaming around freely and Eddie, the sweetest farm dog, always looking after everyone. The work was fair and enjoyable. I mainly helped in the garden and took care of the pigs. I loved the shared meals, game nights, inspiring conversations, and their travel stories. Nici and Jens are kind, flexible and truly want to get to know you. I'm very grateful for this experience and would love to come back!

My experience at the farm was amazing! The work was always well explained and never too hard in any sense. The caravan was a good place to sleep and the farm has lots of beautiful spots, games and animals to offer. But the most outstanding part was surely the Hosts Jens and Nici. They are not only welcoming and friendly but always willing to help or give valuable advice. They tell amazing stories and have an exceptional knowledge and understanding of young people. They both cook excellent food and were always happy to play, drink or talk with us. I would be more than happy to come back!!!

The day, I met Jens and Nikki, I was warmly welcomed with one of the many great lunches I had during my stay. Food is a big culture on the farm and you learn a lot about food and especially the danish food. Always follow the rules for the order of the Danish hotdog!Everything at the farm is extremely relaxing, imagine having coffee and looking out into a field that looks like it never ends, endless greenery all around. I helped out with Various projects on the farm like renovation and garden. I am extremely proud of the pumpkin patch I made. Big Thank You to Jens and Nikki for your kindness.

Jens and Niki were super welcoming and helpful from day 1, they were always so kind and made sure you were comfortable and had what you needed at all times.
All the tasks you do on the farm were new learning experiences for me - quite hands-on but all contributing towards a mode of authentic, slow-living and self-reliance. Really valued their perspectives on peserving old methods.
Throw in some stunning scenery surrounding the farm and you've got yourself an amazing time.
A small tip - do get on top of that before you come as it affected me the last week or so of my stay!

During cozy campfire conversations we got to learn a lot about their view on life which was very interesting. They taught us a lot about renovating, gardening, self-employment and life in general. Definitely one of our highlights were the home-cooked lunches and typical Danish food. In our free time we loved spending time with the pigs and baby chickens, exploring the little town Assens or just biking around and enjoying nature. We want to buy our own farm now :)

Our stay with Niki & Jens was wonderful! They welcomed us like friends, we slept in a cozy caravan with porch, and shared amazing dinners (Jens' sourdough pizza & bread were unforgettable). Tasks included gardening, mowing, fence repair, walking Edi the dog, and helping renovate the barn for a wedding—where we were even invited! The pigs are super sweet (some do tricks!) and the homemade sauna was a treat. Truly a special, inspiring project where you come as a stranger but leave as a friend:)

Amazing experience. Jens & Niki are just incredible human beings! We had such a lovely time on the farm and learned so much from them. Their animals are just adorable; interacting with pigs, chickens, and ducks was so much fun, as was Eddie the dog. Jens made the most amazing farewell meal for us and coupled with a board game; it was a blast. The work done on their farm resonates with us on how life should be; farm life is awesome! Go to the farm, you will not be disappointed.

So grateful for the experience -best 2 weeks of my life! Niki and Jens are such accommodating and warm people who shared their beautiful home with us and were always keen to teach us new things. The jobs around the farm are hands-on and the slow mornings and incredible home cooking will have you questioning your life choices! Niki and Jens are clear about the hours they expect you to work, but we normally worked longer anyway because of how much fun it was being around the animals.
