The guest house is an incredible place to stay. Yachira and Regla are wonderful and very accomodating, as well as being around often to show you more of Havana and help you make trips out to the rest of the island. I couldn't recommend the guest house' house more. The work is practically non existent and the daily fee makes sense when considering the SIM card, the food, the rent, etc that is necessary when travelling to Cuba. Furthermore the room is beautiful and has a balcony and private bathroom. The tourism in Cuba is non-existent and tricky, so without Yachira it would have been impossible to enjoy it.

It has been a true pleasure meeting Yachira, Yeye, and Yemita, and I will not tire of thanking them for all they’ve helped us with; we’ve learned from them and how at home they’ve made us feel. I have only good words and you will always have a little corner in my heart and I will think of Havana as a second home 🫶🏼 I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get to know Cuban culture, its wonderful people, its delicious food… We didn’t know much about Cuba when we went there and now we’ve become real pros at expressions, customs, recipes, films, theatres, and domino games.

The house feels like a home from the moment you arrive. Yachira and her mom are pure love; they welcome you from the first moment like one of their own. Breakfasts and meals in general with them are full of energy, communication, and understanding. Both care a lot about your well-being and help you with everything they can and more. Yachira also proposes cultural plans such as theaters, concerts, the art factory, walks through downtown Havana, etc. We were really sad to say goodbye; the house will always have a little space in my heart.

Fira's House is a beautiful house, with a welcoming and kind family. The tasks are simple, the food is delicious, and the facilities are very comfortable. It's very close to everything, which allows you to get around, and at the same time, it is very safe. Being with Yachira and Yeyé has been one of the most incredible experiences I've had in a long time. You have nothing to worry about: they take care of everything and look after you at every moment. Yachira is a perfect host; enjoying Havana the way you do with her is impossible in any other way. She will take you to all the must-see places, help you with taxis and with everything you need. Yeyé is an exceptional cook, her dishes are delicious! La Cacaotera is a great place, especially if you know the history of its evolution. It has been an unforgettable experience!
