I can't recommend Casa Zahri enough! I even extended my stay. The work is pretty easy and you'll get the hang of it very quickly. A big thank you to Fabrizio, who always helped us with everything. The staff is amazingggg, the most kind and loving people I've ever met! I would say it is a big plus to know at least a bit of Spanish as everyone mainly knows Spanish here. I'm sure everyone will feel at home in Casa Zahri. Thanks to everyone and I'm already looking forward to coming back! 💗

My experience with this hostel was my first one and it was a good start. The people who I worked with were really kind and welcoming. They were always helpful and explained patiently what to do. The work on the other hand was okay but not what I was looking for. I applied for „a kitchen hand“, when I arrived at the hostel they told me that they can't offer this type of volunteering and I would have to change to be the receptionist. So my time schedule had changed completely and kinda messed up my plans for Cartagena. There was not a lot to do but I had good company from the other workers.

My volunteering at Zahri House was very beautiful and peaceful; the staff are wonderful and the owners are always present. I came as a guest and ended up volunteering not only for one month, but two months 🩵 The room and its facilities are lovely and comfortable. The tasks are easy and they are very flexible with the days off The best part is that there are 3 beautiful kittens ❤️

Honestly, it was a beautiful experience and highly recommended. The hostel is located in Getsemani, one of Cartagena's most touristy and colorful neighborhoods. The hosts and the staff at the place are incredibly friendly and attentive, and they are also very flexible and considerate of our schedules and days off. I traveled with my partner and we were able to have a day off together to explore the city at a relaxed pace. There are also markets nearby and the historic center.

Our experience at Casa Zahri was truly amazing, thanks to all the staff and the hosts (special mention to Fabrizio, Gavino, Jhonny, Kelly, Marti, Yeimy); they're all lovely. They are super flexible with schedules; we, as a couple, asked to rest together for one day and there was no problem. The facilities are very beautiful, the place is in Getsemani, one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Cartagena and just meters from the historic center, so we were close to everything. The breakfast was very varied, complete and delicious. And the salsa classes with the teacher Stiven were a lot of fun :)

It was my first volunteer experience and it exceeded all my expectations. It was amazing, I met wonderful people, the people who work at the hostel are like family and I have a lot of affection for them, one of the best experiences I've had volunteering, I would recommend it with my eyes closed
