I had an amazing time in Prapetno! Katja is such a kind and caring host who truly cares for you and wants you to have a wonderful experience. She explained the tasks and when to get them done by. I felt at ease immediately! Prapetno at first sight is quiet and calm but there is a lot of nature to be explored! The neighbours are friendly and it is worth getting to know everyone. This is one of the most beautiful and incredible places I have visited and have made connections I am truly grateful for! Thank you Katja!

It was perfect ! The work is easy, you share a room/kitchen/bathroom with the other volunteers. You have access to bikes and standing paddles. The Soča river is 5min away by foot. You can hike, visit, or just chill. It is a very safe place and the host, Katja, is the most loving and caring person I have met ! I recommend !

Had the best time in Tolmin. Katja the host was so kind and welcoming. The area is quite but incredibly beautiful with so much nature and historical sites to explore. The work was simple and quick with cheap groceries stores nearby to cook in the volunteer kitchen!! Couldn't recommend more

I highly recommend staying in Prapetno! It was a wonderful experience!! The place is gorgeous and the host is truly lovely. As volunteers, you get a private space all to yourselves, and it's very spacious. For the tasks, the work is straightforward: keeping the hostel clean and handling a few check-ins. There's a lot of flexibility and you can manage the workload as a team however you like. I truly felt right at home, so I can only recommend it. Thank you for everything !

Volunteering in the Soča Valley was incredibly peaceful and beautiful! Katja was so kind and welcoming. The work hours were very flexible and communicated well. We were able to visit Bled for a few nights, Ljubljana, Kobarid (and Kozjak waterfall) during our 3 week stay! The river and surrounding area is gorgeous and we explored with bikes provided by Katja. The tasks involve light reception work, making beds, laundry, and cleaning the hostel and apartment. The amount of cleaning depends on how busy the hostel is, but it's usually slight!

This experience was truly amazing. A bit quiet, yes, but in a good way. The nature around is breathtaking and you will not run out of things to see and do. The town is really quite close, so you don't feel isolated at all. Not only was the place perfect, the host was perfect too. Katja was the nicest, welcoming, and helpful host I have encountered. If you love nature this is the spot for you.

I was initially hesitant to stay for a whole month, thinking I might get bored—but I was completely wrong! There are stand-up paddle boards and e-bikes to borrow. It's very close to the river, a waterfall, a castle, the town and the Tolmin gorge. The area is full of charming villages and great hikes. The photos really don't do it justice—both the hostel and the surroundings are even more beautiful in person. Summer in Tolmin also brings tons of music festivals! And Katja, the host, is incredibly kind, patient, and flexible. She truly cares about her volunteers and guests alike.

Katja is an amazing host, she's like a mother for every volunteers. I had a so beautiful and perfect moment with her and her family. I needed to leave a little bit sooner for personal reasons, and she was so understanding and comprehensive. Volunteering at Katjas Place was just amazing! I had a great time here. The hostel is quite small, what I loved because the vibe is so nice and personal. Tasks were easy and Katja helped me out a lot🫶🏼Also, there is quite a lot of stuff to do in the area. If you love hiking, good vibes, nature and peace you should definetly come here! It is a bit easier to reach things/new spots if you have a car, but Katja provides bikes as well. Thank you so much Katja☺️
