I took part in the Mung Bean Harvest volunteering program, and it was a wonderful experience! The work wasn't too demanding, and we only worked a few hours a day, leaving us plenty of time to relax and enjoy ourselves. Our free time was often spent playing music and singing together, as Mifta and Yayah are incredibly talented for music. The accommodation was cosy and had a lovely artistic vibe, and our hosts made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Yayah is also an amazing cook, and we got to try so many delicious local dishes. A beautiful experience that I would highly recommend.

The most amazing experience! It was such a joy to join Mifta and Yayah in their home, I had such an incredible time. Yayah is the best cook so I got to try some delicious local food as well as seeing and tasting how the mung beans we picked can be used. They have made such a warm and welcoming environment I instantly felt at ease and now have beautiful memories here. Thank you so much for having me :)

I truly loved this experience, Mifta and his sister Yayah really created a true home for people coming here, the atmosphere was so nice, we were cooking together, yayah does the best meals, we were singing every night, and even going harvest mung beans was a wonderful moment where we could meet locals learn about the farmer life, laughing and talking, anyway the job was nice we get to be in beautifully field during sunrise and sunset, and in the middle we were just enjoying our timing together, i'll come back for sure because i really felt like home here, thank you so much guys

It was such an amazing time I got to spend at Rumah the community. I truly enjoyed my stay there. Mifta was so kind and patient. I could express my creativity however I liked, and I could learn a lot from him. Every day we did different activities. I also got to experience Java from a non-touristy side. I totally recommend it!!! Everybody was so lovely and so talented. Wow. I felt so welcome and comfortable.

It not really volontariat, its more like having a personnal guide that immerse you into the local culutre while doing art project and cool adventures. The host is really great and curious about other way of living. Highly recommand it for people who seek imersion while wanting activity.

I loved being a part of the community here. Mifta and his sister are amazing hosts who welcome their guests with so much excitement to collaborate. They are incredibly accepting and welcoming and we had so much fun together. The art we created, the adventures we went on and the many conversations we had definitely have have proved to be a core memory for me. I love all the local friends I made, they all feel like family now and will definitely be keeping in contact with all these lovely people. I highly recommend if you love art, laughing, and experiencing laid back village life. xoxo
