Except I don't smoke and I'd completed all my tasks for the day so was waiting for Carlos to return to give me something to do. He didn't say another word to me for that week but all the other staff were wonderful and made the stay what it was. 30 hours/6 days a week is a bit much considering how cheap it would be to pay for the hostel but I learned a lot and enjoyed most of the staff so would still recommend this stay.

Although I stayed there for only a very short time, I will miss you all. But if I can return, I will do so without a doubt.

At the hostel, my experience as a volunteer at the hostel was very authentic and meaningful. From the first day I felt part of the team, not just someone who exchanges hours for a bed. The environment is calm but social, perfect for connecting with travelers without the chaos of a party hostel. The tasks were clear and fair, and there was always respect for the schedules, which also allowed me to enjoy Cusco and organize my personal time. The location is excellent, everything is close, and that makes the experience more comfortable.

The volunteering itself was okay, but unfortunately the arrangement wasn't carried out as agreed. I applied for the social media position and, upon arriving at the site, I was assigned the cleaning position, in which I had some problems during my stay. Lunch is not included for volunteers, only for local staff; they cooked, ate, and we volunteers had to clean up — it wasn't a very nice experience to have. Apart from that, the volunteering is okay, close to everything and with comfortable housing.

The volunteer experience was very good. The 4 to 9 pm work schedule allowed me to get to know more of Cusco in the mornings and go out to the nightlife in the evenings. I felt quite comfortable with the team, especially with Ms. Leyda and Manu. And I appreciate the flexibility to make up hours, which allowed me to take longer trips in Cusco. Recommended
