I had a great time at Pam and Kevin's farm! This was my first volunteer experience so I was a little nervous, especially since I have never worked on a farm before, but it ended up being a great experience! The work was very manageable and all tasks were very clearly communicated. Pam and Kevin are excellent hosts and I would absolutely recommend working on this farm to anyone looking to get a little taste of farm life.

I had a great time at Kevin and Pam's farm. The tasks were physical and repetitive for the main part, but there is always something happening around the farm that take you out of the routine. I learned a lot about taking care of the farm's animals (mostly chicks). Most of the time you work independently with the other volunteers but Pam and Kevin were really sweet and caring, listening to anything any issue or suggestion that can help improve the work. I really felt welcome and involved in the farm's life.
Thank you so much for all the great memories.

We spent 2 weeks here and we had a good time with the other volunteers and animals, we mostly took care of the dogs and chickens (cleaning and feeding) and some different tasks from time to time. We didn't spend that much time with Pam and Kevin but Pam is very friendly and welcoming. It's a good place to be around nature.

At first, cleaning up droppings and feeding the animals was stressful, but the longer I stayed, the cuter they became. Then, working became enjoyable. I worked about five hours a day, which was more free time than I expected. However, a day spent just resting is boring. To appreciate the simple pleasures of eating and sleeping, you need small achievements. This volunteer experience taught me what those small achievements are. Thank you to my host family and the other volunteers for kindly accepting me despite my broken English. I'm sure I'll remember and miss those animals and the time I spent

The first thing I have to mention is that Pam and Kevin are great, and it was wonderful to talk to them about absolutely anything, especially during our coffee breaks <3 Since I arrived in the summer, my main task was to take care of the chickens, but in the end I was in daily contact with horses, donkeys, sheep, cows and alpacas as well. Volunteers have their own house with a kitchen, and every week they write a list of food that Kevin brings them, and they can cook for themselves, which suited me perfectly. Overall, I can say that I enjoyed it a lot and would like to do it again :))

The farm was a great time, especially since there were other volunteers there during our stay! Pam and Kevin are very nice and have a lot of fun stories to share, but there is a mouse problem. If it's your day off you can catch a ride to Midland when Kevin does the grocery runs. The kind people are what made it special :)

Pam and Kevin was so lovely and welcoming! A great learning experience as I’ve never worked with animals before, all the animals were a joy to see everyday (especially the dogs) and was lovely meeting people from all different parts of the world. Highly recommend! Would definitely go back in the future! Thanks for the great experience!

Kevin and Pam are kind people. The living arrangements were nice. I will say I was expecting breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This was not the case, they da grocery shop once a week and you are responsible for cooking. The core issue that resulted in my early departure was the fact that I was expecting to take care of miniature animals like teacup pigs and little lambs. That was not the case. I was exclusively cleaning chicken coops and collecting eggs and cleaning them and storing them. Don't expect to have anything to do with miniature animals.

I am not sure that supplying all meals is so bad. We buy all groceries that are requested but do not supply a chef to cook for the volunteers (most travelers are comfortable cooking for themselves). We do explain that the work is minimal in summer because of the heat. Buy the way Ronan there is no such thing as teacup pigs and as you can see from our web page lambs are born in the winter. Probably best you travel with your mother, so you have someone to cook and clean for you

This experience was absolutely a nightmare. The host is inappropriate in any field. I felt very uncomfortable with them and the way they treated me.
I definitely not recommend this host and do not trust the other review as I did.

I find this comment unbelievable. We picked Francesca up from Perth and came back to the farm and she said she was not happy with the shared house situation (we have a shared house for the volunteers so they have to get along with each other) so I took her back to Perth the next morning. I was prepared to move on and am surprised that she is allowed to post without staying
