My stay at Two Bees was so much fun! Ross was so welcoming, and communicated well about what needed to be done each day. On one of my days off, he took me hiking, we had a picnic and saw seals and a lighthouse! I really enjoyed talking to him and getting to know about the farm and his animals, which he cares deeply for. Would definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful experience here. Ross was very kind and always willing to help whenever I had any difficulties. Most of the work involved gardening and outdoor tasks. I had the chance to use tools that I had never used before. It was a great opportunity to learn new skills and try different kinds of work. I also got to spend time with four cute dogs and help feed many other animals on the property. Every day was interesting, and I really enjoyed this time !

This experience was wonderful and I had a great time with Ross. Ross is an excellent host with warm heart and he really took care of me during my stay. The farm is beautiful and I really enjoyed the time spent with animals. The workload was not heavy and I learned a lot of skills. This was my first experience as a backpacker and I would never forget it. I was lucky to have Ross as my host and also my friend.

Ross is such a kind and genuine person, and so are his friends and family who I was lucky enough to meet. The tasks were varied and flexible - weeding, lawn mowing, working on the B&B renovation, using power tools, cooking, feeding the animals daily… it was largely up to what we felt comfortable with or wanted to learn. The property is beautiful and great for morning runs. Will miss napping by the fire with the dogs ❤️

This experience has been a real pleasure! The animals are just adorable and Ross it's an amazing host and person. He takes so much care of you and his animals, and he makes you feel at home. All the duties and tasks are fun and quite easy to do, but if you have any type of struggle, he's going to help and teach you as much as possible. So if you like animals (especially dogs) and you enjoy the countryside and working outside, this is the best place you can volunteer in. I would definitely come back if possible. You learn a ton about animal care, farming in New Zealand, and nature. Staying with Ross was the most amazing experience. He is so lovely and welcomes you into his home fully, with 4 cutie dogs too! The work was fun and was so nice to be outside connecting with nature, feeding the animals and learning new skills. Ross's property is beautiful with so much green and adventure. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back for more❤️
