Time flies by when you're having fun! Definitely wish I could have stayed longer; the nature, stars, food, the farm, and of course the people were all really lovely. Kimi is truly a great chef and teacher (thanks for your patience ☺️), and there's so much to learn from everyone at the farm. Also very inspired by the host's commitment to making the place self-sustaining and sustainable. Would recommend this experience to anyone seeking a slow living experience in the Australian bush and get a digital detox in the meantime!

I met the most wonderful people and found such a special place here! I got to experience much more than just housekeeping, including helping out at the café and glazing the farm in the farm studio. There were always something fun and relaxing to do. And Kimi's cooking and gelato were absolutely incredible — gaining weight was basically unavoidable! 😂 This was my first volunteering experience, and my English was still far from fluent. But I'm truly grateful that I got to meet the people here and experience this wonderful place. I'll definitely come back to visit someday❤️

My stay at pillaga the farm was exactly what I needed at that time. I'm truly grateful for that place that made my nervous system calm down. The amount of work was totally doable and I did a hike nearly everyday, had time and space for my own yoga practice and I was lucky enough to have had a handful of same aged people around me I really liked!! This place is truly an inspiration and it is worth a lot to get an insight into the life the family has out there. Fully recommended. Too good Food by Kimi 🤭.

I couldn't have wished for a better place to end my trip in New-Zealand & Australia! The community and its surroundings are beautiful. Together with the work I did, I got a good impression of what it's like to live in a community in sync with nature. Which is what I was looking for coming here :-)

Overall, a 5/5 experience and I'd happily return.
A heads-up for anyone considering this position: kitchen hand duties involve a lot of cleaning as well as cooking, dinners are often leftovers from lunch, and as this is a family-run business there are usually children around outside school hours, so it helps if you enjoy being around kids.

My time at the farm was really wonderful. All the staff were so friendly and I had a great time playing with the boys. The place itself is gorgeous although very much out in the bush - but this was part of the charm of the place and there were always things to do like hiking, chilling by the pool or making the farm. I really recommend this place if you are comfortable looking after children under 5. Shout out to Joel for an excellent lesson on making the farm and Camilla for keeping me in the loop with my tasks in advance.

My stay at the farm was wonderful, the team is amazing and everyone is so loving, happy and supportive. I'm so thankful that I got to be a part of the community at the farm for some time and that I got to celebrate both Christmas and New Year's with them. Thank you for all the memories 🤍

The farm is a beautiful place. The work is exactly what's agreed upon and very doable. The long-time workers are all super sweet and welcoming, and the food Kimi cooks is delicious! During my time here, there were barely any other volunteers though, which made afternoons very slow with not much to do. During quiet months, the farm is for recharging more than for socialising, especially in the heat. I definitely still see myself coming back here in the future, and I had a great time!!

Staying at the farm was amazing! So much that I stayed an extra 2 weeks and dragged my boyfriend along. Everyone is lovely and the nature around the farm is incredible. It can sometimes be chaotic but as long as you have the initiative and drive to get stuff done , you will love it here.
