Great place to stay and relax after a lot of travelling hours are very flexible and you have the option of working at the lodge or at the local school, so it is nice ego have that option. Close to town so everything you need is within walking distance. The work is rewarding to as you are helping improve the lodge.

Our experience at the farm was nice and fulfilling, we were only three volunteers there, so the vibe was super chill. We were the first people to come after the blockades in the Center so there is a lot to do, but the job is self managed and you can choose what task to focus on, Simon will tell what things need priorities too, it doesn't feel like is too hard with just 3hrs per day. I love also taking care of the animals,the dog is lovely will always follow us to town and the cats just love cuddles. Simon is not living there, but we met him on our last days there, he is nice and accommoda

Volunteering at the Center was a great experience. We were only in 3 people at the farm, accompanied by the animals that were there - 2 cats, a dog, chickens and a horse. It felt like our own farm for our stay as Simon was there only for the last few days so we were able to do tasks independently. There was a lot to do so we were able to fill the hours in the day easily. Mizque is a small, quiet town with a few activities to do around (via taxi) but it was warm and welcoming place and we learnt about permaculture and how the farm operates as well. Amazing to be able to eat fresh veg everday too

Thank you to Simon for the opportunity to live and work on such a wonderful farm, we had a great time taking care of the animals and the garden! The tasks weren’t hard and you will always find time for yourself. We also taught lessons at a girls' school and it was great, they are so cute and this is a great opportunity to practice Spanish. We were really happy to find this place and other volunteers from there and I wish Simon to continue developing it!🌱

I had an amazing time at Kawai permaculture! My main role was going to the girls school which was such a rewarding experience, chatting to the girls, helping out with classes and teaching english. On top of this, I also spent a lot of time on the farm, for the day to day tasks such as feeding the animals and also actively trying to improving the farm. It's a great atmosphere, Simon is super communicative and always has ideas of things you can do, small or big depending on what you want to do. The combination of the farm and the school was an amazing experience and I would recommend to anyone!

Volunteering at the farm was amazing :) It's a very fair work load at 3 hours a day leaving plenty of time to relax in the afternoon. I also volunteered at the school sometimes because it's a really fun experience and they're all very welcoming and kind. Mizque is a lovely town with everything you need and the property has lots of fruit and veg to use in your cooking. Simon is very fair and has great communication and helps with the projects if you need it. Overall an amazing experience and i definitely recommend it to anyone
