My two weeks as a volunteer in East Java were unforgettable! My host was incredibly kind and took great care to cater for my vegetarian diet. The teachers gave me a warm welcome and discussed the lessons with me. Although we'd agreed on 4–6.5 hours a day, I was allowed to take breaks when I was tired. The insight into everyday Muslim life and the exchanges with a trainee teacher and another volunteer were particularly valuable. Thanks to Alfi & Okta from VolPro: the visa, the support, the atmosphere and our Bulejar workshop at the weekend were brilliant. I couldn't have got to know East Java

I had a wonderful time at the school! I had previously spent a month here and truly felt like it was my home. Coming back a second time further solidified that feeling. I had to return to Kediri to extend my visa and the moment Mr. Andre knew I was back in East Java he invited me in with open arms. As usual everyone working there was exceptionally helpful and on top of any and all of my needs. Additionally Alfi and the VolPro team did everything they could to make the experience as smooth as possible. I couldn't recommend this experience more :).

It was an amazing experience.
The program overall is very well structured, with organized schedules for working hours and the designed activities.
There are some staff that accompanied me throughout my whole stay and helped me with everything that I needed.
Also, I had a private room for myself that was adequately suited (only issue is that there were some insects sometimes), and had food delivered for breakfast, lunch and dinner (also the food was pretty good)!
When it comes to teaching, the best aspect of it is that the students are genuinely interested in you and your teaching.

I had the pleasure of staying one month at the school and it was a wonderful and impactful experience. When I got there I felt truly welcomed by the teachers, by the owner Mr. Andre, and by the students. I truly enjoyed connecting with students of all ages in the classroom and was given many opportunities to explore local attractions and submerge myself in VolPro culture. Everyone working with me in the school and with VolPro were always very attentive towards my needs and made me feel cared for and prioritized. Leaving the school felt like I was leaving home. It was a truly life changing experience. 🫶

I spent 2 weeks at the school and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. The teachers are super helpful and kind and the students are so eager to talk and get to know the volunteers. I had a peek into the real javaneese life and I learned about the culture a lot. I had so many experiences that I will never forget. I received 3 exeptional meals a day, each day something traditional so I could try so many things. If I needed something everybody helped me immediately. Thank you the school ❤️

My experience in the school was lovely. The staff is more than kind, they pay attention to all the details to make you feel comfortable. Even though, I was during Ramadan period and we did not have many students, the classes that I had the chance to support were incredible, the students are genuinely interested in getting to know you and practice English. the school facilities are the best with a lot of space, I was provided with my own room, that more than a room was like a mini apartment, the meals are delicious and delivered to your door (I felt like a princess with the treatment I received).
