I spent a very nice two weeks at the school, Huong was lovely and all of the other teachers were friendly and accommodating. The work was simple and hours easy and the accommodation and food did the job. I would recommend renting a bike from Vinh (around 90 mins away on the bus) to explore the area or it could be a little isolating. Would recommend to anyone who would like to spend some time in the countryside and teach English to some really lovely kids!

I really enjoyed volunteering at the school! Teaching English was fun and rewarding, with 4–5 short lessons a day. No experience needed—the teachers guide you, just bring good energy (coffee helps, the kids are very energetic!). We helped prepare for their English competition, which was a highlight. The town is quiet with a few cafés and lots of free time. Accommodation was comfortable, and Huong was very friendly and helpful. A great slower-paced experience after fast travel.

I had a lovely experience volunteering at the preschool. It's a perfect amount of work (3 hours a day) and you can have you own room in the hotel nearby. The children are excited and engaged (there are classes from age 2 to age 5). Plus the other English teachers helped me tremendously to settle in and know what I'm doing. I would recommend this if you want a fun and fulfilling experience.

I had a wonderful time volunteering at the school. The kids get super motivated when they see you, and it truly brings so much joy to your day. Huong was always there to help and even arranged transportation for me. She was super nice and very supportive. I had a room to myself at the hotel, and the meals were really good. It's a great place to slow down and do something meaningful. As I came during Tet preparation, I was even included in the school celebrations, and I had so much fun. I'm really grateful for this experience, and I'd encourage anyone to come and be part of it.

The host herself was incredible. She was super helpful with showing us what to do, sharing her culture with me, and giving us her recommendations. She helped us with some logistical questions as well and we're super thankful for all her generosity! The tasks were straightforward and interacting with the kids was so much fun. You teach for a bit in the morning, have a break, then a bit more in afternoon. She helps give ideas on how to teach them if you need help. Accommodation and food was very very basic / bare bones. I found the remoteness of the surrounding town quite challenging.

This was my second time in the school. The children are so curious and excited to learn and interact with the volunteers. Full of energy and love. The teachers are incredible and amazing for all the work they do. The town is quiet and peaceful yet very beautiful Me and Mustafa will always be grateful for life to the teachers and principal to give us the opportunity to teach in the school❤️ It's a big school so that means a lot of organisation and responsibility.I value the teachers hard work and I recommend this for volunteers who already have had experience in teaching English to children.

Having to see that you have a meaningful impact on the kids is a very nice feeling. It was really hard to leave because we got really used to the kids and saying goodbye was really hard. Saying goodbye was extremely hard. First of all, Mrs Huong is such an amazing women who cares so much for the students and also for the volunteers. As not many foreigners are in town, we were able to get involve in a more local experience and meet more of Vietnam. The school does a great job with the students. Once you start your first class you feel the warmth of the students and the curiosity to know you and learn English with you. They are so adorable! I recommend preparing some activities and lessons beforehand. Accommodation and meals 10/10 Thank you so much Mrs Huong💛

Teaching 3-5 year olds was sweet; they quickly took to me. Be prepared: while rewarding, teaching young kids can be frustrating when they lose focus, forget or even refuse to participate. I taught 5 classes daily (2 hrs AM, 2 hrs PM), 6 days/week. Local teachers were great; despite language barriers, always helpful. Huong ensured I felt integrated. Excellent lodging; fresh meals. I was fully involved in end-of-year events. My first time teaching, it was a tremendous learning opportunity. Feeling like a true team member was a highlight. I'd definitely return. It's fulfilling! We had such a lovely experience at the school; the kids are the most lovable, energetic children and so eager to learn. They really put in a lot of effort and want to do well. It was such a joy being in the school with them. We taught ages 2-5 and you have 3x 30 min lessons in the morning and then again in the afternoon so the time goes quick! Just make sure you plan some flash card games that are age appropriate as we felt a bit underprepared initially as you are leading the lesson. The food the hotel provides is really good too. We would definitely recommend the experience to other people!
