I volunteered expecting clear and structured tasks based on the description, but upon arrival, the options presented were different and lacked organization. The host mentioned helping at a school, but the tasks were limited to a few hours in the morning with no additional activities for the rest of the day. Moreover, the house was the home remote location with limited access to food or activities, which wasn't communicated clearly beforehand. More transparency about the location and tasks, as well as better planning, would significantly improve this experience for future volunteers.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I appreciate hearing about your experience, but I’d like to address a few points as there may have been some misunderstandings.

Regarding the tasks, we do explain that the work at the school typically takes place in the mornings, with afternoons open for volunteers to either participate in other projects or explore the area. I’m sorry if this wasn’t clear before your arrival, and we will work on improving communication around the daily schedule.

As for the location, our volunteer house is situated in a peaceful, rural area to provide an authentic experience of the local culture. While it may be more remote than expected, many volunteers appreciate the tranquility. We’ll definitely ensure that this is better communicated moving forward.

Concerning the food, we offer traditional local meals prepared by our chef, which are part of the cultural immersion. It seems that these meals may not have met your expectations, and I apologize if they weren’t to your taste. We try to accommodate dietary preferences where possible, and we’ll take your feedback into consideration for future volunteers.

We are always looking to improve our program and take these comments seriously. If you have any further suggestions or concerns, please feel free to reach out, and I’d be happy to discuss them.
