Working with Karl at the farm was a dream! Karl is very very kind and welcoming, easy to talk with and will let you know about events going on in town. He is also very patient and will explain thoroughly how to do any tasks. The beds were comfy, and the place is very nice and has all the facilities you need. The hours were exactly as agreed upon, and the work itself was rewarding- I had such a good time. I learned more about irrigation and really enjoyed working on this project! I will definitely be back, and would 100% recommend other travellers to come and volunteer.

My stay was really fun and engaging. Karl is a very nice and available host. He made sure we had everything we needed, the work hours were perfectly respected and he was open to adjustment if needed. Beside this, he was also open to conversation and I learned a lot about the island of Crete and Greek culture!

Karolos was a fantastic host. He went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. We got and made meals, we went on trips to the other major cities, and he was very understanding about any changes to my plans.

It's my first time volunteering and I absolutely love it, Karl is a super chill host meanwhile always looking after volunteers, the accommodation couldn't be better and the farm is a true heaven, don't miss this institution if you would learn more about agriculture and the farm!

My stay with Karlo was spontaneous but turned out to be a great experience. He made me feel safe and welcomed from the start. The tasks were simple: Cutting branches, carrying them and burning or chipping them - all surrounded by beautiful sea and mountain views. Karlo always had a plan, even though sometimes machines failed, so be ready to use your hands. He shared a lot about local life, culture and olives. On the good side, Karl is an excellent host, always there and attentive in case you need anything and is always open to help. When things didn't work out he adapted and was very flexible open to our requests. However, our experience wasn't exactly what we envisioned. The place was not ready to accomodate volunteers and the installations aren't really functional. It's very isolated, we were volunteering as a couple but felt like the place needed more people to fill the space. It's a perfect place if you want to have some time for yourself but be advised it can get a bit challenging.
