That was such a good experience the lodge and all the family is just amazing ! Really kind and nice. It was hard to communicate but they help you and explain to you the best they can ! I did a lot of different work and I learned a lot about the way they lived ! The meals were amazing and even if I was the only volunteer at this moment Tina (an amazing little girl)stayed with me a lot <33

I stayed at the guesthouse for 11 days, and it truly felt like living in the moment, completely immersed in nature. The sounds of insects, the river, and chickens made every day feel like meditation. The daily task was given in the morning and could be finished before the afternoon, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day however I wanted. the lodge and Michele were the best hosts. I spent most of my time with Michele since I was volunteering at the guesthouse, and he made me feel at home. Honestly, these were some of the best days of my life. I felt completely in peace.

I spent a week with the lodge and her family. The farm and the countryside are beautiful, which was lovely. The tasks aren't too difficult (for me, it was mainly gardening) and take place in the morning, so I had the afternoons free. I had a motorbike with me, which was great for getting around the surrounding area. The family only speak Lao, so it can be difficult to communicate, but they are very friendly and cheerful. It was a lovely and special week on my trip – thank you to everyone!

I stayed one week during the raining season at the lodge's farm. Every morning she provided us with breakfast and we had some tasks in the morning. After work you get some lunch and explore the area and take some rest. It felt like an authentic Lao submersion. The environment is beautiful but very remote. It was also quite easy to get there because of their detailed description.

Really good immersion in Lao life. Some work the morning and resting the afternoon. Could be a little lonely if no other volunteers as it was the case for me but didn't bothered me. Abundant and delicious food ! The family is super kind but the language barrier is quite present and sometime it's hard to communicate. Finally, the place is in middle on nature so very enjoyable =)

An authentic experience on a beautiful farm in Laos, welcomed and taught by an endearing family, especially the lodge, who showed us how to complete the daily tasks. One of the main tasks is cleaning up and collecting animal poop, which dries out and is then used around growing plants as fertiliser. We also spent time near a breathtaking waterfall and around many animals, including pigs (with lots of piglets!!), chickens, ducks, dogs, kittens, rabbits, and more. The afternoons are free time, which can be spent exploring the surroundings or playing with the children—absolutely adorable kids.

I had such an unique time at the lodge's farm! The family is so sweet and treat you like one of their own. The animals at the farm are adorable and the food is super fresh, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic Laos experience :)

Varied activities in my one week stay -- we planted coffee seedlings, did weeding on sweet potato crops, cleaned the pig&chicken&cow's shelter to transfer feces as organic fertilizers. Can't survive it without my fellow worldpacker from Germany and glad we synch the travel dates. There is no signal in the homestay so we go to road side for stable data connectivity; purchased snacks and drinks on stores about 15-20 minute walk. We weren't able to have side trips during off since the lodge's garden is rly far and kinda off-grid. Still, generally a worthwhile experience and learning about gardening.
