I had the loveliest time with Adelaida and Gustavo, and feel so grateful to have shared this experience with them. They are warm, welcoming and kind, and treat you like family. Adelaida is an incredible cook who spoiled me rotten, and Gustavo is hilarious. The work isn't easy, but it's incredibly rewarding, and both Adelaida and Gustavo worked twice as hard as I did. It was lovely to spend so much time outside and in their beautiful Finca, a lovely way to connect to nature if that's what you're looking for. It was a peaceful beautiful time, and I cannot recommend it enough!

A perfect Worldpackers experience. Gacheta is small town in beautiful mountains, a two hour bus ride from Bogota. We spent two weeks with our delightful hosts, the effervescent Gustavo (thank you for the for being so helpful and informative), Adeleda (thank you for the wonderful meals and postres! ) and Enes (thank you for the extra help with translation). We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Our Spanish improved, we learned about the lovely local food and we were inspired by the connection to nature of our hosts.

Fabulous experience. On arrival we were greeted by a former volunteer, Enes, who had remained friends with Adelaida and Gustavo and had returned to stay with them. It was great to have Enes here because he was able to fill in the gaps when our Spanish failed us. Gustavo and Adelaida have so much energy, are full of fun and made so much effort to make sure we enjoyed the experience and improved our Spanish. The food was always amazing, delicious juices and deserts, and we learnt about Colombian culture and permaculture . Lovely family, lovely experience, lovely memories. Thank you so much.

I'm really happy to be in that place . Tia Adelaida and Tio Gustavo have been very helpful and very familiar . Gachetá have perfect climate and nature . Silence and calm place . If you want to connect with nature and familiar place , this place is very good . You can buy ticket for bus in Salitre Terminal in Bogota D.C to Gachetá it's like 31.000 COP . And you can arrive directly to Gachetá within 3hours . In suggesting to all volunteers that place to connect nature and familiar place . Have a great trip for all 🌝🥳

My sweet volunteering experience at the Repostería farm was one of learning, enjoyment, and value. Adelaida, a working woman, with a business-minded vision and entrepreneurial growth, likewise Gustavo, a kind man with a sense of humor, who works on his farm, the two greatly enjoy being there and investing in their family project. I learned to prepare some desserts and cakes, motivated to enter this Pastry Area, training myself and offering a warm and quality service to people, mastering the technique and taking baking to a healthy level. My experience with Doña Adelaida and Don Gustavo was excellent!! They are two amazing people, we had great conversations during lunches and I got to know through them much of Colombia's history. With Adelaida I cooked and tasted the delicious Colombian pastries, all her desserts are a delight!!! I got to know her farm and the wide variety of plantations they have there. The meals Adelaida prepares are delicious and super abundant. I highly recommend this experience!!
