The best thing was Amelie, a petite woman full of energy and happiness. But I must admit that since day 1 I did not feel comfortable at all, especially with the room. It was too humid and cold, and by the third day there I was already sick from the humidity.
As for the host, in general she was fine, only that there was a lack of prior communication about the tasks and work hours. Because there was zero planning, which limited you if you wanted to do something outside of working hours. I must admit that on my last day of work I felt very uncomfortable with the way she treated me and the other volunteer. For this I decided to leave early.

It was my first volunteering and, honestly, I felt used and exploited. The first day I arrived I worked for 10 hours. She gave me very difficult tasks in which she didn't participate. She acts like she owns your time, and even if she saw you sitting or on your phone she would call you out. It was no longer support; it turned into a job, and she believed she was your boss, ordering you around while she went to sleep and woke up saying this turned out badly, this and that was missing. Truly, it's an experience I wouldn't want to repeat; zero recommendations. There is a God above and He knows how each person acts; I leave everything to Him.

You used to wake up late, you’d go around, you disappeared, you stayed glued to the phone all the time and you did things halfway, you logged more hours. You wanted to be paid but you paid for your lodging with work. You lied, you’re not a student and you’re not an expert in any of the tasks requested. For years I’ve been hosting volunteers and they know I’m not who you say I am. Saturday I’m going to work at 6:30 am and I sleep when I arrive! Definitivamente cumplió con todas mis expectativas. Desde que llegue mi anfitriona Jacqueline estuvo muy atenta. Las labores que realice fue la casa y jardinería. En muchas ocasiones hasta trabajaba en equipo con Jacqueline y otras voluntarias que habían. Y todo acorde con los horarios establecidos. Lo súper recomiendo si desean estar al sur de Francia en un lugar tranquilo y en un ambiente sano para compartir. Estoy muy agradecido contigo Jacqueline hasta ganas de volver me quedaron 🤭🫂

Engomer es mágico, todos son muy amables y es perfecto para conectar con la naturaleza. Yacqueline y Amelie me hicieron sentir muy bien recibida, me permitió conectar nuevamente con la cocina haciendo empanadas. Fue algo solitario porque solo estaba yo como voluntaria, pero fue muy bonito correr porque solo Engomer y Castillon

Yacqueline me recibió súper bien. Ella y su hija, Amelie, están siempre disponibles para uno, tienen muy buena energía y le ponen muchas ganas a todo. Las tareas fueron muy amenas, y todas realizadas en un horario flexible. Fue un placer conocerlas y compartir estos días con ellas.
