This was a very positive volunteering experience. The tasks were simple, mostly reception and cleaning, and everything was well organized. Laura, another volunteer, was amazing. She was very open and friendly, always ready to help and answer any questions, which made settling in much easier. The hostel has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and I felt at home from the beginning. Also, Arica is a beautiful and quiet city that's definitely worth visiting. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend it to other volunteers.

I struggled at this hostel due to not being fluent in spanish. The manager doesn't speak any english and did not try to bridge this gap so i was ignored regularly and not included in volunteer activities or socialising and was separated from the group. I was also left alone within the hostel and unable to communicate with guests which was uncomfortable. The volunteer shared room had no lockers for valuables and the manager stayed up very late every night so i was un able to sleep a lot. I made the decision to leave early and the owner was extremely apologetic and promised to improve

Incredible experience at the hostel! The team is great, we feel at home and the tasks requested are really very easy. Gabriel takes great care of his volunteers, communicates and laughs a lot, and integrates us into his world for a total immersion with the Chileans. I started my trip with the hostel and I don't regret anything <3 thanks Gabriel and Vale for the opportunity, but a thousand thanks to Laura because she is simply wonderful. They made me feel at home, the tasks are very easy to learn and the schedules are very fair. I highly recommend the experience 100%, you will meet a lot of people and have very fun experiences. I hope I can come back soon :)

It was an incredible experience, the place is magical and the people even better—Laura, the person in charge, is a sweetheart. Very committed to the guests and the volunteers. The location of the place is very convenient, with the beach and the town center just a few blocks away. They make you feel at home. 10/10

The hostel is ideal if you are looking to meet people from different countries, socialize and share in a fun environment. Volunteer work is excellent, everything agreed upon is fulfilled and the tasks are very relaxed. The hostel is beautiful, it is a 15-minute walk from the beach, from the center and it is a very safe area. Thanks to Gabi for hosting me, to Lau, Mile and Pablo for being such nice companions and to all the people I met for forming a very nice, very cool experience🫶🏻

Volunteering with the hostel was perfect, one of the best I've ever had. The energy of the place is beautiful, the team is wonderful, and Laura makes the hostel feel like a home. The schedules and tasks were respected, which allowed me to enjoy the beautiful city. Gabriel and Vale are very pleasant and attentive people. I also had the opportunity to connect and make friends with people from different parts of the world. I lived each day at the hostel with joy and I was fascinated by Morro de Arica, a place rich in history and with a unique charm. Definitely a destination I would recommend visiting!
