I'm Colombian, and this was my first volunteering experience. Sandrine welcomed me in the best possible way and made me feel completely at home. It was a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience, and I would come back a thousand times. I'm incredibly grateful for this amazing opportunity and for all the beautiful memories I'm taking with me. ❤️

I had a great experience at TTP Hostel. I spent one month there doing reception work for the hostel. The work is easily understandable and adaptable. Sandrine was welcoming and made made sure I was comfortable. I will definitely be back soon.

I had a wonderful volunteering experience at the hostel. The host was welcoming, kind, and made me feel at home. The work was simple, and the schedule was light, giving me enough time to explore the area as well. I really enjoyed working on creative projects. The atmosphere was friendly, and it was great getting to know the other volunteers and guests. I also have to mention the food—it was absolutely delicious! Every meal was freshly prepared. Thank you for this memorable experience. I would highly recommend this place.

This is actually my first volunteering experience with Worldpackers, and tbh it is the best investment I have ever had!

Sandrine is a good person with ambitious ideas, and Nas is a great person to work with. I learned a lot from guest experience, up to handling unexpected cases at the front desk. Even though in Worldpackers I'm officially finished my volunteering, I decided to extend and got visa extension thanks to Sandrine!

This place has become my second home and has become a new family outside my hometown :)

To those who want to volunteer here as a receptionist, do it!

I had an incredible time in Vientiane volunteering at the hostel. Nas and Anouar made me feel comfortable and I really enjoyed hanging out with them. The lunch was particularly hearty and good, specially when it was spicy. What I value the most it's all the other travelers and volunteers I met there. It was an amazing experience.

I had a good stay at TT Premium. The volunteers and staff there made me feel at home. Although I was volunteering with the cleaning team, I also helped at reception when someone was absent, and it was fine. The cleaning ladies only spoke Lao, and communication with them wasn't always easy, but with the translator everything flowed smoothly. They were shy and took a little while to get used to me, but nothing that hindered the work.

Sandrine is a very energetic person. I really enjoyed working with her. She is communicative and full of ideas.
Her hostel is a pleasant and very comfortable place, and the food we were served there is also very good. The hostel is currently going through some renovations, and I was able to contribute a little as an architect.

Being with the other volunteers was incredible. It is definitely a place to connect with people from all over the world.

My experience at this hostel has been incredible. Nas was always attentive to make sure I was comfortable and gave me full flexibility with the schedule, the work was very simple and I truly appreciate it a lot.
The food was also very good, my only recommendation would be to improve the air conditioning inside the hostel, since even though they have it, it is not always turned on and it makes the space very hot, even for sleeping.
Aside from that, the girls who work there are very kind and I really enjoyed this city so much.
Thank you very much for welcoming me!!!

I enjoyed the other volunteers, and the hostel itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential. However, my experience differed from what was presented. I applied for an artistic role, but was assigned reception only, w/o further discussion, was left on read. My schedule was 11:30-4:30pm everyday, which limited time to explore, while other volunteers appeared to have more flexibility. The host was rarely on site, and the little communication we did have was via text. Inconsistent airflow in dorms, Plumbing issues (toilets/showers). With clearer communication/ more structure it would improve.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Yes, the shifts should be shuffled so that it’s not the same schedule every week, and we’ll review this point again in the next two weeks. As for me being on site, I’m often involved in different projects, but the volunteers are really here to create the vibes. Heleno was handling the task sharing during your stay.

The stay at TTPremium Hostel is my first time volunteering through WorldPackers. The other volunteers were the highlight of my stay, they made me feel right at home. The location of the hostel is amazing, it's close to everything (night market, convenience stores, temples). The workload was very light and the schedule is negotiable. I've only met the owner, Sandrine once and she seemed lively! There are some things to improve on the actual hostel that could help us provide better experiences to guests. But overall, the experience is good; shows you how the backend of hostels actually work.
