This volunteering experience was great! I created content for the hotel for two weeks, the resort is beautiful and they let me create the content I wanted so I was able to explote my creativity and i loved it! Just one thing to mention: I had a problem in my room but they fixed the situation as soon as I told them :)

I absolutely loved teaching yoga at the hotel. They gave me a lovely little private room with an ensuite aswell as 2 meals a day. Personally, i loved the food as it was truly a local experience. However, for some it might be quite spicy! Overall great communication and friendly staff.

This is a wonderful place, with kind people and beautiful scenery. As this was my first time working on a project like this, I'm very happy to be here. Thank you, Jan, and thank you to all the older sisters and aunties I worked with. I hope I can come back here again in the future.

My experience in Southern the hotel Resort was awesome. The host was very open to new ideas for social media and let us be creative for the bar and resort social media. We had to create reels and posts on daily basis and was really fun and chill. The meals were amazing and the staff was also very welcoming. Couldn't recommend more this place!

The place is truly beautiful and very relaxing to stay at. Unfortunately, I suffered from a severe case of food poisoning and ended up feeling sick for most of my stay, which significantly affected my experience. I would recommend visiting during the high season, as we traveled during the low season and most places in Koh Lanta were closed, making the island feel quite quiet and lacking in activities. I would also advise guests to be careful with the food provided, as food poisoning can quickly ruin what should be an enjoyable trip.

I volunteered as a singer/entertainer for three weeks and overall had a good experience. However, future volunteers should know that the staff accommodation is very basic (no AC, cold showers, some maintenance issues, dirty mattress and insects). The food was sometimes extremely spicy, and there wasn't much organisation to help volunteers meet each other.
On the positive side, Jan (the manager) was very friendly, the island is beautiful, and the work was very relaxed—I mainly sang karaoke in the evenings. I also made good friends with other volunteers.

I would recommend the hotel for anyone who wants to experience Koh the hotel. You can divide your time for social media how you want as long as you fulfill the task at the end of the day. There are only few regulations otherwise you can create freely. The room was really clean and big just the food was too spicy some day's, even though I asked at the beginning to get less spicy food. So sometimes you maybe need to get food outside but there are plenty of possibilities.

I taught yoga at the hotel for two weeks. I very much enjoyed getting to know the guests and teaching people from all over the world. They have two spaces for class, the beach and an outdoor bungalow area for class which was very nice to teach in. As far as accommodation the rooms were not the nicest. No hot water or properly flushing toilet. The food situation was less than ideal and not very good most days. However, the staff are kind and friendly but there is a bit of a language barrier at times. Overall this is a nice place to teach and a good team of people to work with.

I worked with social media management and it was amazing. I had a private room and free time every day. I just needed to perform my duties online. I had time to explore the island a lot and make new friends. The only point to improve would be to reduce the use of chilli in volunteers' meals. This part was difficult to adapt. But other than that, I loved my first experience with WorldPackers!

My three weeks at the hotel were perfect! I had a private room and received two meals a day, just as promised. Teaching yoga twice a day was the ideal amount of work — it allowed me to meet guests from all around the world while still having plenty of free time to go to the beach or explore the island. All the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling. The area of the hotel resort is, in one word, beautiful. I would definitely recommend it to everyone, not only as a volunteer but also as a regular guest.
