I had a great experience volunteering with the Center. The work is not overwhelming and there's plenty of time to yourself. The closest town is Abasto which is a 15 min bike ride. Lau and her family are amazing and made me feel at home.

From the first moment you feel part of the family, with generosity and a huge heart. On this second visit I achieved a much deeper immersion in the connection and relationship with the horses. It is learning to communicate with them, to listen to them, and to understand them from respect. It is a transformative experience. I also had the joy of continuing with beautiful projects such as the organic garden, adobe construction, participating in the events, super!!!

The experience was very positive and enriching. In addition to contact with horses, rural life, fauna and flora, I was able to work with bioconstruction and learn about the preparation of materials and the construction of the walls of Vlad's studio. I also repaired and installed the Starlink Wi-Fi network at Lau's father's house, renovated a salamander, laid part of the volunteers' kitchen floor in bamboo and refurbished furniture. We cleaned an entire warehouse and restarted a refrigerator. It wasn't possible to carry out everything the host had planned, but I did many things and learned a lot.

It was my first volunteering experience and I highly recommend this place 🤍 Lau and her whole family are very kind, always open to listening; the tasks are fairly simple. In the Center I could connect with myself, I also learned the personalities of the puppies, I could overcome my fear of approaching the horses, and at the end of my stay Lau gave me a session with them; it is very impactful everything that happens in that moment, you learn a lot if you connect with your heart. Her yogurts are 10/10 ✨

I loved the experience, and overall, the whole thing—from the host family as well as the spaces—the animals (each with a very specific personality, haha)—created such a warm atmosphere that I felt protected, that everything would be alright, and it allowed me to simply be and listen, to be present. While the experience had its challenges and my partner and I had to keep control of the situation, really from those small difficulties you learn and test yourself. From the host I could learn simply by observing her, by listening to her, and by using her as inspiration.

We spent two weeks in the Center and it was a wonderful experience, being able to connect with nature and the place. Laura and her family are very kind and attentive people. I also learned about the horses and was able to get closer to them. I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing to improve is the kitchen facilities, especially during the winter season, because it's true that the temperatures are very low and it gets very cold since it's not equipped for it. Remember to come with purchases made for a few days because the place is very remote, and there are only a few small shops. Thanks!

A very good experience. Being at the Center connects you with nature and calm. The tasks are simple and the schedule is flexible. Breakfast is very complete and tasty (includes eggs, bread and yogurts). The volunteers' room is very nice and with its own bathroom. Highly recommended to go with the purchases already made for the first days. What could be improved would be the kitchen, since it is under construction (although functional) and in winter it gets quite cold. But overall, a very good experience if you want to disconnect, rest and connect with yourself.

My first volunteering experience will be etched in my memory forever.
The encounter with Matou, Espe, Pinino and Lolo was intimidating at first, but as the days passed they became an important support in my day-to-day life. Their unique way of showing that they appreciate you is unmatched.
Life at La Rueda was sweet — among the horses, the daily tasks and the yoga nights with Laura. It allowed me to pause and appreciate the calm.

The place is very beautiful, with horses, two dogs and many animals (birds, frogs, etc.). The space for volunteers is pleasant, and also the house with a quincho. Lau and her family are very kind.
